So, here's where you get to pretend to be a member of the (now disbanded) BBRC. We're bringing it back for this topic and you're on it. It is being discussed which teams (if any) deserve to be cut from the pages of the rule book. Trimming down to 20 teams seems to be the goal (it is a nice round number after all), so 4 teams are potentially getting the axe.

What is your argument?

I'll start. These are the ones that for one reason or another I would choose to eliminate:

1 - Khemri
2 - Nurgle
3 - Elf
4 - Underworld

PS ~ I did a search for this before I started the topic and got nothing (which surprised me). So if I missed it, my apologies.

khemri is the most common choice, as they really are one dimensional, and dont really offer anything that other teams dont. the thing is though, is taht the other teams are all unique. nurgle is the 'denial' team, underworld a glorious mix of speed, mutations and stunty, while the elf team is my favourite of the elves.

(i do realise that really, they aren't at all unique)

Khermi for me, I just dont think they add anything interesting to the game as a whole. They are pretty dull to play with and against and are very one dimensional.

Now that Khemri have been nerfed: none.

Every team in the LRB6 is much better balanced than before. If someone hates a team, they can just not play them.

Amazons

None - they all bring something "different" to the table. I love that there are so many options, keeps the game fresh and provides the right amount of challenge.

I would tweak or change rather than remove...

I would add a knight- squires and peasant team to arrive to the magical number of 25 !!!

Why do you want them removed? Is it because you don't like playing with them or you hate having to play against them? Not that the two are mutually exclusive, but given you are never forced to play with a team the only real motivation is that you hate playing against them. Seems a bit selfish.

+1. Somebody out there loves that team you want removed. Someone has spent a lot of time building said team and a lot of hours figuring out exactly how they want to play that team. How frustrating would it be if you were an all-out Khemri fanatic, and Khemri gets pulled as a team? That would destroy your love for the game. I wouldn't wish that on any coach.

Every team is unique in some way, and we should celebrate this instead of wanting a more universal experience for everyone.

I, for one, hate Nurgle. Would I want it removed and all those Nurgle-lovers (ick) to be denied their favorite team? Never.

As for the scenario given in the first post, if I were on the BBRC and this came up, I would smack the other members upside the head for wanting to drop 4 teams to make a "nice round" 20. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

I could find a reason for keeping all of the teams. This is just purely a hypothetical situation. It's been discussed on other threads and come up before (including by myself) that perhaps there are too many teams. Well I got to thinking about it and decided that if I had to make the hard choice to cut teams which ones would I eliminate.

I've decided that I would hope that none of them were ever eliminated...not even Khemri (although I personally think they still need some more work). I don't have any distinct hatred towards playing with or against any of the teams I noted. They are just simply the 4 that I could live without and not really feel like I lost much.

Oh, I understand the scenario. It's just that even in it I would fight tooth and nail to keep all 24 in the game, no matter what.

I'm against removing teams, but given the choice: Amazons.

They need the kind of change that the Norse got when the throwers became runners...
