I've noticed there aren't too many Canadians using this site and the couple of them who are, seem to be from the East. Anyone out there from the West? Also wondering why there aren't any tournaments held in western Canada, Calgary or Vancouver would be much easier to get to than Toronto (for me, anyway).

I'm from Winnipeg, myself. Is that too "East"?

If you think there should be a tournament in the east then you should hold one. In fact I think that would be a great idea. The Canadian National Tournament organizer for the NAF has been loooking for a way of getting something started out east. The problem is as Anthony said, this country is just so damn big. If you are interested in holding a tourney let me know and I'll have the NAF contact you.

You are right though that most of the Blood Bowlers on this list are from the west. I'm from montreal myself.

TH.Lapin,

I think you got you east and west mixed up, but that's o.k. I understand what you meant I would be interested in trying to organize something, but I would also be interested in finding other BB players here in Alberta who would be interested in one as well.

You can have the NAF contact me, I would be interested in what they have to say.

Technically Winnipeg is in the west (though it was in the CFL East for a number of years), you are still east of where I am, so I guess it depends on you point of reference. Let's just say the 'peg is in the center (more or less).

ps. for trivia's sake, the east/west geographical centre of Canada is just outside the town of Landmark, Manitoba

Now how can you insult a food that could also be used to fill potholes in a pinch  It's double duty cuisine at it's best

Sorry for the late reply...

You could always check south of the border (if you're near Vancouver, this shouldn't be much of an issue). Bellingham, WA (30 mins down I-5 from the Blaine border crossing) has a decent sized league that runs regularly.

PM me for contact details if you want =)
