Hey all you BB history nuts - can someone tell me what year the NAF started from the fluff in the old rulebooks?

yeah, it's a race to see who gets home to their books first...
is there a prize involved?
will it affect the election more importantly?

I work from home ... but sometimes the client assignments require them to actually see my face ... (about 3 times a year this happens) ... then I have to remember where the good clothes are ... ... ... and pray they still fit ..

And if its a race between me and Lucien ... he's gonna win. I'm 5 hours away from home so long drive and I'm 3 hours from finishing the project so I can start said drive ... add to that that Lucien has a 1 hour head start due to time zones and well .... if there is betting involved with this race, I'd like to wager much on my opponent please

I have the 2nd ed. Blood Bowl Handbook open in front of me.
It lists the date of the first Blood Bowl as 2461 (won by the Darkside Cowboys).
If you're interested:
I - Darkside Cowboys
II - Dwarf Giants
III - Vynheim Valkyries
IV - Gouged Eye
V
VI - Champions of Death
VII - Chaos All-stars
VIII
IX - Severed Heads
X - Galadrieth Gladiators
XI - Reikland Reavers
XII
XIII - Gouged Eye
XIV - Vynheim Valkyries
XV
XVI - Creeveland Crescents
XVII - Skaven Scramblers
XVIII - Skaven Scramblers
XIX - Reikland Reavers
XX - Elfheim Eagles
XXI - Darkside Cowboys
XXII
XXIII - Severed Heads
XXIV - Dwarf Giants
XXV - Reikland Reavers
XXVI - Champions of Death
XXVII - Reikland Reavers
Fill the gaps anyone?

Possibly I win???? From p29 of the 3rd edition Blood Bowl manual:
"... a match between the Dwarf Giants and the Reikland Reavers in 2399 almost started a full-scale war when neither side could decide whose rules to use. Eventually, though, the NAF resolved the situation, and a set of rules for everyone to use was published in 2409."
So something like 2409, it seems, though possibly there's another reference I've missed.

Yep, 2409. The same lines are in the 2nd ed book, but blood bowl and Nuffels Amorican Football had bee around for a long time alrready and Roze-El was long dead.

Earliest listing in the snd ed. team histories is 2381 (formation of the Dwarf Giants from the Illuminated Seers of the sacred orb of Nuffle).
They were one of the original blood bowl "Sects"...

There is no actual date given, Rozew-El lived to the age of 196 and was succeeded by Djimm Thorp, then by Jorge Hellhound who sold the world Cabalvision. Still no dates except for 2486 when the franchise was sold to Association of Broadcasting Conjurers when it was renewed for the 13 time. The game which brought about the rules set was in 2399. All this however is listed as recent developments.
