Dode- This is some seriously warped logic.... Just because a team bought a wizard or 2 doesn't mean there is a problem with having no bank rule, it doesn't mean there is an issue, or a problem. Where is the harm occurring exactly, what is getting damaged?
I really don't see any point to your argument? I've yet to see any correlation between winning and money, in fact I would argue the only reason that team you mention won that tournament at all was because they had a potion to heal their best player after they got killed, which is a big house ruled event and again has nothingto do with bbank as halal said bank was a rule he wanted included for attrition reasons. But again there is need for this, when legends in teams are killed its damaging enough already, additional punishment is not required. Which is all the bank rule causes.

Well guess what? Petty cash has been playtested in literally millions of games and works fine.
But hey, we should totally use the only rule that the creator of Bloodbowl felt was bad enough to veto

He bought wizards, which effectively negated the opposing team's wizard, several games in a row. Under the bank rule he would either be penalised in TV for having that much cash or not be able to do so. I'm not sure how you can't see how being able to willy-nilly buy a wizard and negate your opponent's first-choice inducement, forcing him to spend his inducements on something less effective (because if it wasn't less effective he would choose it first), isn't an advantage.garion wrote:Dode- This is some seriously warped logic.... I'm going to reiterate that I'm not taking anything away from what RandomOracle did: he played within the rules and won fair and square. The question is about the rules themselves, not his conduct or capability.

Well, it obviously doesn't work "fine" as dode has shown above.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Ok Dode, that's one major where maybe the great coach with a great team who won it benefitted from petty cash.
Guess what, he wasn't the only one who bought a wizard with petty cash. They didn't all win.
What about the other 37 Majors?
What about all the league games on BB1 and Fumbbl and all the MM games on BB1 and Fumbbl?

No, I've shown one. You said so yourselfJimmy Fantastic wrote:Ok Dode, that's one major where maybe the great coach with a great team who won it benefitted from petty cash.

Dode has shown nothing.

And tbh that's the only one I've looked at.
That aside, I don't want to detract from Jimmy's question about where plasmoid got this "latest" bank rule from.

I just checked dode and you are wrong. He hired 1 wizard in the 9 games in that tournament, which he would have been able to do if the bank rule was in place anyway. So again it is a non issue.

Or just one time. But let's not let facts get in the way of a good storydode74 wrote:He bought wizards, which effectively negated the opposing team's wizard, several games in a row.

Lmao I never actually checked before. He got one Apo in a couple of games and one Wizard in another - totally feasible under the bank rule.
He did however face one guy who transferred 350 petty cash - oops!

Re: BB2 Full listof changes to crp
Yep - I was wrong with "several" but I last checked a long time ago. I looked again now...
Round 6 - Asesinos Mutantes. Wandering Apo.
Starting from there under the bank rule he would have had, at most, 150k without starting with a TV penalty. That would have left him with 50k plus his 60k winnings minus 50k SE = 60k.
Round 7 - Blessings of Nurgle. Nothing taken, 80k winnings, 40k SE treasury at 100k.
Round 8 - Horny Chaos II. Apo takemn (treasury = 0), 80k winnings, 60k SE. Treasury at 20k
Round 9 (final) - Ninos de Tzeentch. Wizard taken (treasury -130k).
There it is. He could not possibly have afforded a wizard in the final without some sort of TV penalty in previous rounds.

Re: BB2 Full listof changes to crp
No reason not to start him at 250k really. -30k is pretty close.
Now do the same for all the other teams and all the other majors. We need more data than one team and 4 games right!?!

At above 150 there's a penalty in previous games.Jimmy Fantastic wrote:No reason not to start him at 250k really. -30k is pretty close.

For us to be able to say it's not a non issue we only need one.
