Guess we have to agree to disagree here. The fact that the Beast can create Rotters from kills is just a modified version of the Undead Zombie rules ... ie I don't see any new skills from where I sit. Push, Juggernaut, Wings, Perfect Spiral, Trip Up, Stiff Arm ... those are new skills.
Yet to create a low level zombie you need a necromancer, but to create powerful rotters you need to be hit by this overlypowerful BG. What do you call this ability? "Modified Necromancer"? "Modified" is a loose term. Is Leader a "modified" team re-roll?

I'm sorry, but this "Beast" is a true abomination to the game. Apparently JJ has gone on record to say that minis are created then the rules, but here we have rules created just so people will by this weak WFB mini! Please explain. Heck, his name "the Beast" is lame. Just give it Troll stats...

Ya know for Nurgle beasts they could have done some thing fun with his movement. The slime trail, ya know?

How about making a trait called slime that lets him place little slime traps when he moves. Make it an action and mark the space on the board. Anyone leaving this square has to roll under their agility. Then make the beast similar to a troll or something. 4 5 2 8 slime, tentacles, really stupid, regen and mighty blow,,,price I don't know. I'm too hungry to figure it.

God, am I the only one that wants whackiness back in the game?

GW always seem reluctant to leave there games alone if they continue to support them. Maybe they think they will die out if they don't add some new rules or a added component or something. I always thought that bloodbowl proved that this wasn't the case but clearly they just like to tamper.

You know, I was excited to hear that GW is making new minis for all the teams, starting with the elves. However, now I hear these new minis will have new rules :o :o :o :puke:

Don't we already have three good, working elf teams?
Please let it stop!

Oooohhh.... that sounds good. A chance for elves to be the über-team of the moment. At least until GW release the next set of new figures.

How about: 7/4/4/9 Block, Dodge as the standard for a new elf, cost 70k, re-rolls 40k? Should sell loads of figures with rules like that!

Martynq: I'm surprised at your lack of originality! If other teams are getting a lot of strength 5 players, then Wood Elf Wardancers and Witch Elves should start with a 5 agility! It makes perfect sense!

I have heard of no new rules for a fourth Elf team. I think I do know the rumors you're talking about, but they don't involve a brand new team list.

Milo: Andy and Jervis mentioned new rules for the new elf miniatures in the NAF seminar. The old High Elves would be put aside* and the new miniatures would step up to the breach. I'm expecting similar, but slightly different to the High Elves.

It makes sense they'd have new rules, given GW's "figure for every rule and a rule for every figure" policy

*High Elf rosters will remain official and not dropped. The new fluff is they are a "High Elf State Team" - Professional players. The new Elves are more down and dirty.

Of course, I was just suggesting what a line-elf would look like. Clearly the rest of the team are as follows:

Blitzer 8/5/4/9 Block, Dodge, Mighty Blow, Guard, Piling On (100k)

Witch Elf 9/4/5/8 Block, Dodge, Jump Up, Frenzy, Mighty Blow, Side Step (110k)

Catcher 10/4/5/8 Dodge, Catch, Nerves of Steel, Sprint, Sure Feet (90k)

Thrower 7/4/5/9 Block, Pass, Sure Hands, Nerves of Steel (80k)

There the team is done - must recommend them to JJ.

Milo: I've not heard anything substantial about a new roster. Martynq and I are just engaging in some good-natured sniping. And speaking of, Marty - shouldn't the new Elves have a big guy? Or two?

Marcus -- the above part is the only part I hadn't heard about. From the rules I've seen, I consider them an improvement in team design and uniqueness, but not an improvement in team power level. Not that that will reassure anyone, because we're clearly all powergamers at the BBRC...

If we can keep the Chaos and High Elves around with their varients, then please push GW to keep the undead as they were, with theirs!!!

Why of course... how about:

Dragon 8/8/2/10 Block, Dodge, Leap, Mighty Blow, Guard, Frenzy, Stand Firm, Pro, INSTILL FEAR (130k)

New skill:

INSTILL FEAR: When a dragon is on the pitch, all opponents count as though they have the Really Stupid skill due to the fear that the dragon instills.

ObCapitalism: The miniature for the dragon will of course be extremely expensive (20 pounds or so).

Martynq:    I guess I can go along with that as long as he gains Prehensile Tail, G, S, A, P access and takes up 4 squares on the pitch. (Boy do I miss 2nd edition...)

I don't think that 2 is really an appropriate agility for a player of this obviously superior ability. After all, he needs it to use Leap skill. Let's make it a 7.

Oh, and I'd prefer a version with a 140k price and 12 AV. But that's just me. I'm sure the other BBRC members would be happy with 11AV.

Especially since this is just the lineman... Dragon Blitzers would clearly have to be better.
