yeah, anyone is free to use whatever rules set they want in BB. and they can house rule, or interpret those rules however they want as long as everyone in their gaming group agrees.

The NAF can sanction whatever it wants for tournaments that it approves for it's records and prize support. Event organisers can sanction whatever they want for their event. League commissioners the world over can sanction whatever they want for their league. Players can use whatever rosters they like in their games.
GW doesn't care. They aren't saying we can only use the 9 teams printed in the new edition and DZ once they are released. So quite why we're talking like that's ever been a suggestion I do not know. What's more I find it a preposterous waste of energy!
There are loads of rosters out there. GW plans to reprint and produce models for the 21 in the CRP, some new ones and/or some variations of those teams, and they haven't said no to the 3 extra teams, just that they're busy enough for now.
They have to have an actual plan to follow y'know!
Background wise, they'll adjust what they need to with their canon to make it fit, as they have always done. It's their property.
As for the background of the Slann, we have to assume that that background you are referring to hasn't been over written Tom.
Guess what though...

To stop this becoming even more bogged down in nonsense...
As we know there are 9 teams in the initial wave of releases: 2 rosters in the starter set, 7 in DZ. 6 plastic teams, 3 resin.
Plastic teams are Human, Orc, Skaven, Dwarf, Nurgle and Elf Union (the new name for Pro Elves). But what are the 3 resin teams?
High Elf, Dark Elf, and Wood Elf.
Now, who wants to know about the team roster app?

They're doing an app that'll allow you to manage league rosters. When you tap on the players you'll get a detailed cad view showing basic rules, all the gained stuff, and so on. When you tap something on that card the full rules will come up.
It'll update as they release new stuff, and all being well should have all the useful stuff you need during a game in one place.
There's loads of apps out there, but this is something GW do particularly well and if it's owt like stuff they've released for their core games it'll be really swanky and useful.

It does doesn't?
I'm really not the best judge of these things. Technology kind of just passes me by.

Really?! All the Elves at once? Before Undead or Lizardmen? Fascinating!JT-Y wrote:Plastic teams are Human, Orc, Skaven, Dwarf, Nurgle and Elf Union (the new name for Pro Elves). But what are the 3 resin teams?

I really don't care what makes sense to others.sann0638 wrote:So you will say that even if it makes no sense to anyone else?
And since I'm not a NAF member anymore, I don't give anything for what the NAF may or may not have sanctioned.
The three haven't been released, end of story for me.
What kind of house rules pack Cyanide may or may not host is also not of interest to me.
They've changed the orc blitzer and human catcher and that also wasn't official.
And because JT-Y asked: The status of a team is of importance to me as I can refuse to play rosters that haven't been released and therefore are unofficial or house rules rosters.
Whether you think I'm stupid or stubborn, I couldn't care less.
Maybe it's my german side but I need rules I can rely on and those are, for me at least, always the officially released rules.
Since the last real official rules pack have been CRP and no new set has been released, that is what I call official.

Wow! Great info! They say they are keeping the teams, but perhaps they release Nurgle and not chaos (which was one of the original 6) because they will scrap the general chaos team and make a team per chaos god?JT-Y wrote:As we know there are 9 teams in the initial wave of releases: 2 rosters in the starter set, 7 in DZ. 6 plastic teams, 3 resin.

I hope not, I see the Chaos roster as pretty much a ready made Chaos Undivided team.

Wrong, only 9 official now. The future is unknown, depends if the two products that carry those sell or not.Regash wrote:Doesn't matter, it's just details. GW did not publish them.mikeyc222 wrote:GW DID give it the thumbs up. it was GW legal that had it removed. just saying.
And they're still talking about 21 teams for the upcoming re-release.
Just following your logic.

GW already spoke about 21 teams and has called the CRP to be the rule set going with the new release.
And CRP has 21 teams.
