Not only the name, but the concept I was proud of:
I was looking for a team name a few years ago, when I noticed that the Micro$oft board consisted of 15 members plus Bill Gates. What a coincidence: the new team was a 3rd Ed. vampire team. So the vampire lord was named after Bill and the other players after the board members. For the team name I finally came up with "Gates of Redmond". In fact after some seasons the Gates of Redmond were dominating the league in a most unfavorable manner, just like the real world MIckeysoft bloodsuckers. Pure luck or providence? We'll never know 8)

Well I'm not claiming any of these are great, but in my league we have:

The Tirellion Aces (High elf, me)
The Xlanhuapec Hunters (lizard)
The Skitterslight Screamers (Skaven)
The Kharnath Crushers (Undead)
The Iron Dune Atom Smashers Dwarf)

I always liked my mates Orc team name...on the basis they could never remember anything more complex they were simply:

"Da Orcs"...simple, yet classic.

My current team is Perfidious Albion (Human) also Khorne Citadel Cheiftains (Chaos) was another fave.

I will always remember the name of my first Dwarf team. Best name I ever came up with...

Bugman's Boozers!

Hmm, it was my most successful team as well... time to bring them back I think! :D

A few ehhrm.. nice team names from fumbbl.com

The Grotty little wankles (Goblin)
Great Balls on fire (Don't remeber, probalby dwarf)
Last Chancers (My dark elf team)
Pervy Hobbit Fanciers (Wood Elf, Read secret diaries of cassandra clay anyone)

THese next few come from a friend of mine, playing chaos:
Limb Rippers
Gut tearers
Violent Demise
Parental Advisory
Flesh Tearers
Evil All Stars (This team was made during the old allies rules, and sported a dark elf thrower, 2 gutter runners, 4 Chaos Warriors, 2 Black Orcs, an ogre, a minotaur, and a rat ogre I belive) Also, this was during the skill coaches era. Needless to say, nobody wanted to play that team for very long.

Cheers

An entry I'd forgotten from one of the leagues I played in...
Undead Poets Society.

One that will probably only mean anything to people from the Nordic nations...there is a team in FUMBBL called "Bamse och hans Vänner".
(and on FUMBBL teams, why forget my one-game old Big Guy DivX team - TurnOgres?)

Hey, I'm working on making a Dark Elf team from some Dark Eldar plastic mini's, and I was thinking of using the same name i used for the Dark Eldar army, Eaters of the Dead. Works well for a Dark Eldar army, but not so sure for Dark Elves. What do you guys think?

doesn't really fit the dark elf personality from any of the fluff i've read (which is basically all of it). they don't eat the dead, they're very refined. Evil, but refined. :)
