No it wouldn't - where in the rulebook does it say you can do that?

I've played Dreadball heaps. Go check the Dreadball thread for my critique of why the inability for bash teams to control the tempo of the match results in the dominate strategy being you score - I score, just like basketball. The teams with the best strikers should always win meaning only about 3 teams are truly competitive/viable.

You may have played "heaps" but you've obviously not "played" the game much. Bash teams (which don't really exist in DB, just there are some that can remove players easier than others) can easily stop the "you score, I score" with careful positioning, unless their opponent can make lots of 6s, which is the same in BB.

Please answer me this; in a competitive match why would I score a go ahead touchdown and leave you 2+ turns to respond if I feel that I could safely stall out and leave you no more than one turn to respond?

I reflect what Joemanji stated earlier, if you don't stall in this situation against me I'm going to be insulted.

You remove your figures I take that as a concession - start rolling for all those 51spp players.
If you want to make a house rule about it, sure, hell, I'd even support a decent house rule, but as written, there's nothing in the rules to stop a player spending 8 turns camped on your EZ line.

that would be ok with my friends. and all you really lose is 1 turn to the staller.
opponite wants to take away your good time, stop the game. seems like a good idea to me...

i alway thought that there should be some kind of random events thing when someone stalls. sorta like:

11-33 an opposing teams fan charges out on the field and attacks the staller with a dagger

34-40 a rock is thrown at the staller. a big rock

41-50 a wondering wizard, who happens to hate stalling, turns the staller into a frog. forever.

can you see how much i hate stalling? i play the game, to play the game. a few beers, a few laughs. its just like "pitch invasion". i want to play the full 16 turns. this is the same. no enjoyment to be had. keep it in the big tourneys.
or stop doing it...yeah. stop doing it.
