The whole journal/Fanatic NAF knowledge gap.
What there is to the thread.
The thread is nearly invalidated with the links not being operational.

Before my time here first.
And second, why bring up Galak is the situation is such as you say.
Its total absence makes it immaterial.
Maybe, but it also explains why such a list doesn't exist.
Also:
I do not know if any person here has bothered to keep up with what really has gone on (history is just not the "thing" today), if it is simply too much effort, if it is that no one cares or has ever bothered with where BB has gone and/or come from, if it is only a generational issue or what it is.
You've been shown obviously they had. That these resources are no longer available (again, at least due to GW in one case) does not show that no-one can be "bothered".
And I doubt there's a "generational issue" going on here, unless you're in your 80's or 90's.

Have you tried the torrent link yet?
No sign whatsoever of the English WD on Sigma' s thread.
That therefore cannot be held against me
No, but your attitude towards that can be. Hardly mine (or anyone else's) fault that between him compling it, it being downloaded, and now the English articles have been removed. If you'd had just said that "unfortunately, it doesn't contain any English articles now", all well and good, but you acted like a petulant child that thinks the world revolves around him.

Harbinger8 wrote:And, obviously, no one here has volunteered to do it for any reason, before or after this thread's appearance.
Aside from the fact that 2 people have done it before this thread (with at least one removed by C&D letter), BfG offered to help in the third post of this thread.

Now, you said something about not reading?

Are you volunteering to look through every WD to find the stuff he wants then? I'm sure if you volunteer your time, others have the WDs to look through (I probably have up to 250).
Otherwise, no-one can tell him what he wants to know, because, thanks to GWs legal department, that info doesn't exist.

Bound For Glory offered to look up "something".
That does not indicate to me that he was willing to scan thru several dozen magazines to find the BB therein.
Am I really misinterpreting his offer Darkson?
Darkson wrote:You never said you'd tried Jarni's link, just asked if it was working for me.

Gee Darkson, what does any reasonable adult understand from my comment.
And then when I ask:
Harbinger8 wrote:Howabout now?
What the stink was that supposed to mean except the continued asking about whether the link works for you because it is not for me?
If you did not know, especially when it followed your "I am stuck at work" claim several hours later, how dense is the "situation" Darkson?
Darkson wrote:... One skill per action became official in 4th edition, not 3rd. Oberwald was suggested, but never official.
The copy of the sixteen paged OBERWALD that I printed on 12 February, 1997 had Jervis's initials on the ruling, therefore it was official worldwide for anyone playing by the official rulings of GW before that date.
And Darkson, anyone listening to Jervis Johnson knew that anything he signed off on within the OBERWALD document meant that it was official.
Furthermore, it was handed out to all Mail Order Departments WORLDWIDE and to the Customer Service RoolzBoyz in the United States as the official rules beyond the Handbook and DeathZone on 12 February 1997.
Sorry Darkson, that is about as OFFICIAL as you can get at GW, only excepted by the action of charging people for it.

Sorry that.
Undoubtably, the list you could have made would have been accurate and helpful.

Why did you break off too?
I cannot get into mine because it would be talking about specific GW employees and I believe the confidentiality contracts I signed at employment still preclude me from speaking ill about specific persons even after all these years.
On the other hand, talking about GW IP items only extended to two and half years after separation.

I have been around lawyers all my life, but the worse legal pitbulls I have ever met were on the GW legal team.
I got interviewed during a fraudulent miniatures investigation concerning a Canadian concern that had come to the attention of both North American Mail Order departments; the "interview" made me wonder if these guys were former intelligence interrogators who went and earned a law degree later.

Why?
So I can have more people bedeviling me and telling me why no one is actually helping me is all my fault?!?
No thanks!

Is this the actual truth in the end Darkson?
Why was this not simply stated back on page 1?

I am not and never was asking for people to go through every issue since #225 if they had not done so and tabulated it already.
If it is simply not out there, I am sorry for the turmoil here.
A simple answer of such and why would have shut this thread down immediately other than me asking everyone if they were sure.

I guess then in reality, this thread is through if everyone is sure there is nothing like what I asked for out there.
"Thank you." to those who tried and could not.
Please "Give me a break." to those who were just egging it on for their own egos and/or entertainment.

Please accept my most abject apology for this additional question on this thread, but it just came to me that these pieces of data I now request can cut out a lot of the chaff in my search.

Does anyone know the release dates on any of the newer editions of Blood Bowl?
It would make logical and financial sense (and we all know GW is all about the money if anything) that around those dates and the following eight-to-twelve months there would be new releases and articles on Blood Bowl in the GW periodicals.
I know for sure that the re-release of Third was 30 March 1998.
Anyone on the others?

Again my apologies to the community for continuing this thread.

I gave up with White Dwarf because I realised I was paying out good money for something that was becoming less and less useful and interesting. As someone who doesn't play WFB or 40K it really was just a glorified catalogue and I was no longer interested.

And because I was heading off to university soon and decided I wanted to "grow up" and stop playing with toy soldiers anyway... which didn't work too well :P

As an aside (that's back on topic), didn't the GW website have an archive of what was in WD? I'm sure they used to have a list of articles - probably not that useful, I think it was more article titles or something - when I looked a couple of years ago.

They used to, but I’m pretty sure those were got rid of along with many other articles when GW changed their site from a resource about the hobby to being mostly a shop with a few articles.

Someone on a general GW site like Warseer may know of a list which is basically the contents pages of each WD. I’ve never seen one myself but it wouldn’t hurt to ask. However they may have originally contained actual content so suffered from the “C&D attack of doooom!!” like the ones here did.

I really do doubt there would be much after 1998 in WD though. We had Battlefleet Gothic, Gorkamorka, Warmaster and Mordheim all released around that time so they’d have got more attention.
I remember they occasionally would feature a specialist game every now and again but it would be just a small mention.

No prob... just keep going. Some parts of this thread are fun to read and some parts are realy interesting as
background informations about BB. :D

I dont know, if you check my site, too. I got a very small BB History part on it.This part is still written in German, but maybe you are OK for this language, too? But i´m not in this "deep" like you for sure.

Anyway... i will check, which WDs issues i got at home tonight, too. I just can remember some articles about the DungeonBowl and some stuff about the last GW BB miniatures here in Germany, but those are at the German version of the WD.
