Now that Jervis and Andy are back from holiday, I've made my recommendation to change the boosters and they responded with an enthusiastic "to what?" So, they're more than willing to listen to suggestions from the group on how to change them to make them more functional.
One catch: There can only be one booster per team. That means that any minis that don't get included in the booster will be special order only.
So, I'd like to ask you guys to review the earlier proposals, decide if that's really what you'd like to see, and come up with a final list which I'll forward on to Jervis and Andy. I can't guarantee anything will come of it, but I suspect any future changes will pretty closely match what you guys come up with. (Keep in mind that there may already be packaged boosters with the old lineups, which may or may not be replaced with the new ones before they are sold.)

Excellent Milo. JJ was pretty receptive to my initial email (as seen in my initial post). Hopefully we can make this happen, if the punters get what they want to buy then it has to help sales and everybody's a winner. Boosters specifically designed to compliment the boxed sets has to be the way to go in the future. Thanks for your support.

Chet just asked for a copy of this to send to JJ and I emailed him a copy. I'm pretty sure the DW's list is something that most of use agreed on.Deathwing wrote:Excellent Milo. This is true, and we do have the latest copy of the suggestions, but we'd still be interested in hearing any last minute input. Better to make sure we've got a solution everyone is happy with now rather than have to revamp them all again later.GalakStarscraper wrote:Chet just asked for a copy of this to send to JJ and I emailed him a copy. Snot, the UK and US sites appear to be offering different box sets. I still find it hard to believe that Norse box sets in the US only come with 1 Blitzer and 2 Throwers..it goes completely against the grain. Maybe somebody over there could phone GW US and double check it's not an online store screw-up?snotsngrots wrote:Did the Norse get fixed? No throwers!

The team they list on the US site is the exact same team that came in the Norsca Rampagers boxset. I bought 2 of those boxes to make a full team and got lucky unloading the 2 extra throwers to someone who was doing conversions and liked them. If I had to guess, that's the way they're still boxing the team.

Update: Got a list off to Fanatic, initially just the 'no-brainer' races (i.e. Amazon, Skaven, Dwarf, Helf, Delf and Welf) which contained figures surplus to requirements assuming coaches bought a team box.
Had a response from Andy, and Fanatic are happy to implement the changes suggested. The next step is the range review in October, but Andy doesn't forsee any problems with the sales companies listening to customers concerns re: the booster packs.
What Andy's asked for from us as a community (and customers) is a more comprehensive list covering all the races, so we can get the discussion underway again and let them know what we'd rather see as booster content for each race. We have until October, so I'll post on this again over the next coupla days when I get some time.
Just thought I'd post a sitrep; encouraging so far.
(And don't even bother with any sarky comments, I'll just delete them. Let's keep contributions positive please.)

For Chaos I'd go for a 1 CW + 3 Beastmen or (preferably) a 1 CW + 4 Beastmen option, with the mutants available separately, or maybe in a 3 mutants pack (1 each).
I just like to have 16 normal players for a team, plus what else I may need
