Compare it (not in pose) to this:

Look at those heads! On the sculpt, the eyes are much larger and far more cliched little-grey-man than the artwork. The lower face is more pronounced than the art, and the nose and forehead have disappeared entirely. Compare the quality of this mini to the level of detail in their other efforts and the judwan team looks more like a pretty crappy fan effort. I put in for two of these teams on the BOGOF - unless I see massive improvement in this team very soon I'm seriously considering writing and telling them to forget it.

I agree, and as the only thing I really wanted was Judwan or Judwan related I am very disappointed with the sculpt. I am hoping it is only a first attempt and will go back to the drawing board. Very disappointed. :(

Dreadball vs Blood Bowl

Apparently manic (sic) have "spotted" the same issues and will address them. http://forum.manticblog.com/showthread. ... wan-sculpt.

Welcome news, but why release it as part of your christmas previews if you felt it fell short?

Because you might get away with it. If the feedback is ok, then send it to the foundry. If it's negative your "listening to customer feedback" & "yeah we thought so too" and back to the sculptor (or hopefully another different sculptor) it goes.

Mantic are on a deadline now. They've committed to produce 3 seasons in a much shorter time than the usual. Short-cuts are gunna happen.

P.S. Got my copy today (Western Australia)

For the former I could see complaints if you need to do more than twist the bits off the spruce and have to glue rather than just fit them together.
Fair enough.
I sometimes seem to have trouble shutting off the conversion mode in me.
