TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Just had my e-bay order of the skaven dice cancelled, seems stockists are limited to just 10 each.
Guess they will be going back up at vastly inflated prices come the 25th.

Trying to figure out what you ordered there, BB+DZ package is $124 on US site. Were you able to get the Skaven dice?GalakStarscraper wrote:Pre-order in .. $132.68 for the game + Death Zone Season 1
Man, I really want the Rats plus dice. Missed out on the Nintendo Classic mini, now this. *sigh*
Guess I should be happy with getting BB+DZ.

Nice review. I'm really looking forward to the 28th or whenever my new sets arrive.

Your review confirmed my worst fear: The rules are being published in slices!sann0638 wrote:My take: http://www.thenaf.net/2016/11/bb2016-preview/
Actually having to get used to new kick-off tables whenever a new edition will follow... Oh my god!
New skills being published with the teams and stars they are being used on.. Hm, might not be that bad.
All in all, I'm not sure how newbie-friendly this is with changing rules every edition.
Not only learning new rules but spotting differences...
I'll stick to CRP and wait for what is to come.

Re: Blood bowl site and unboxing...
If that's your worst fear, then the edition is in pretty good shape. We *have* CRP so we know what the rules will be in the end. If they release a shorter, simpler rulebook which makes it easier for a new player to learn the game, good for them!Regash wrote:Your review confirmed my worst fear: The rules are being published in slices!
It didn't sound to me like the kickoff table itself has changed in any major way, only that it doesn't mention stuff like Cheerleaders or Coaches which aren't in the rulebook. That'll probably get added in Death Zone (I believe they were also added in the original 3rd ed DZ).
So as long as you view this as "Blood Bowl Starter Pack" and not "Everything you'll ever get about Blood Bowl", should be fine.
@Sann: How posable are the models? If you don't want, say, four identical Blitzers?

Now that the rules issue is put to bed my biggest concern is the aesthetics. How big-looking are these new toys? Will it look silly to play against the smaller models? Your opinion, please.sann0638 wrote:My take: http://www.thenaf.net/2016/11/bb2016-preview/

Re: Blood bowl site and unboxing...
Should probably be doing some work, so will write more later and take more pics. I believe ALL the core rules will be in the box and Death Zone, everything that follows will be optional and fluff, plus rosters.
Figures not posable without cutting, in that they fit together perfectly. Elbow cuts should be straightforward, and the heads are separate so some possibilities there (though they have clever neck pieces to make them fit in perfectly out of the box).

Re: Blood bowl site and unboxing...
It is my worst fear because I don't think that some roster changes will be all that has been tweaked.rolo wrote:If that's your worst fear, then the edition is in pretty good shape. We *have* CRP so we know what the rules will be in the end.
Look at the downloadable roster sheet and you'll see that there will be more.
So, typical for GW, you have to buy each and every new piece of rules to get them all put together.
THAT is, what my worst fear was. And at 20 € for DZ1, that means a lot of money in the end, doesn't it?
Or has GW announced a free PDF with complete rues that I missed?

Re: Blood bowl site and unboxing...
Sorry for being slightly(?) off-topic, but I didn't want to open a new one and maybe the answers will bear some kind of relevancy to this topic in the end:
I would need to get a box shipped to Hungary by 25th November. We are demoing the game at a national board game festival (26th-27th Nov), which will have an attendance of around 2-3000 ppl (Facebook event , clips from last year's event) AND we will have a table for Blood Bowl.
We are doing it for free (actually we will need to pay for the table) and -- based on last year's experience -- we will have visitors trying themselves at the Art of Blocking and the Scoring of Touchdowns from age 9-99. (Well... 8-75 is more realistic.)
Sooo, can anyone help or has information they can share with me (here or in PM) about who to contact? How do all those blogs/vlogs/artists/etc. get their copies before the release date?
PS: Yes we could (and probably will :/) use old tables, teams, 3rd party stuff and when asked about the availibility of the game, we will have to answer: yea Blood Bowl..., it's something like this, but not quite like this.
