I always remind coaches of Guards or Tackle when we are turning the players round, but if he forgets after being told, or rolls the dice to quick for me to warn him, tough luck, I tried!

That's sorta why we do the roster thing. We had a lot of discussion about this topic before we settled on our solution. We look at the roster as a sort of "game film". We're not jerks either, if someone asks what aplayer has we'll tell him. But to stop the guy before he rolls a dodge and say, "Now remember, that wight has tackle and you don't have any rerolls. Are you sure you want to do that?" is just ridiculous.

That's not quite what we do. We turn players 180 when they've had their action, and say things like "That blitzers got Tackle" or "There's a couple of Guards in there, want me to point them out?". Then, if they decide to dodge or block there, that's their choice.

yeah. I tell people what my players have at the start of the game. And whenever they ask. But I certainly don't volunteer the information. And I am always sure to ask before I do anything that could be affected by a given skill..."That guy got tackle?" or "#4 the guard guy or #5?" or whatever.

If they don't ask and they roll it, it's their own damn fault. You can't hold their hand for them all the way through.

Well said, Wes.

Like I said, my roster is right in front of thier face and I will answer any questions they have. This would fall under the category of "Too bad, suck it up."

Correct.

I always hold a fig-statline demonstration of my players before the game. "This one of the two blitzers has ST4 and dodge" etc.
If they can't remember those things during the game or are too stupid to ask, it's not my job to play the game for them.

I'd probably have let him take it back myself, but he should really have known you had a wight with Tackle and asked.

You were in the wrong really, but he didn't help his cause.

I usually let stuff like that slide because I want to win because I'm a better player and not on some silly point of rule.

But Thadrin, it was a silly point of rule...he rolled the die. I'm specifically asking whether you would have let him take it back after rolling.

There's no rules lawyering or exploiting going on here, just wondering how far people would bend over backward...

Sounds like you are making his decisions for him. Do you suggest defensive formations for him too? If you are planning on throwing the ball with a team known for running plays do you let him know? Why or Why not? It's the same thing. If you are going to run a something out of the norm and he has set up totally wrong to defend it do you let him know?

You should, because apparently that is good sportsmanship. When your futball teams clash do the coaches compare notes and trade playbooks?
Do they tell the other coach that some unknown rookie exploded in practice and they will be passing the ball to him?
They should.

You Euro Trash are so judgemental it makes me sick!
Does everything have to evolve into some sort of hatred over a person's race, country, heritage or clothing? No wonder we left your crap behind.

Oh and when was the last time you heard about Americans killing each other over a bad call in football game, you hypocritical turd.
