Picture on facebook taken from Warhammer Fest of a Nurgle team

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =3&theater

From one pic it looks like it has 4 warriors, 4 pestigors and 4 rotters to me

...actually may be 2 Pestigors, 6 rotters

edit 2

now on the warhammer fest feed
https://www.warhammer-community.com/201 ... ge-post-1/

I think the team looks a thing of putrid beauty! Team pic suggest a degree of interchangeability between the models.

Also the feed has a kill team:rogue trader release with Nurgle models that look like they could also be hijacked as a Beast of Nurgle

So I was wrong, not supprised my guessing has been bad and my logic erroneous.

So Nurgle it will be, they are some incredible looking models, I am just not sure how I will paint them withouy repeatedly vomiting. They would definitely have a disturbing presence if you are sitting across the table from a well painted set of these.

The graphics in the video look like the ones of the Spikes so I am expecting to see one of those too!

Look foward to seeing this in the flesh (!?)

Well.......that's disappointing to say the least. The models are pretty nice, but it would be nice to get a team that isn't super easy to convert from the 40000 other Nurgle kits in the GW range. I was really looking forward to seeing some variety of Undead, Lizards, or Chaos Dwarfs.

Congrats to those who were looking forward to Nurgle and aren't familiar with kitbashing I suppose.

I’m guessing these might be out early October?

I’d love there to be another team this year but given the wait between seeing the Dark Elves and them hitting the shelves I doubt we’ll see anything else other than this and Forge World stuff between now and the end of the year. That’s cool though, it’s been a good year.

I think you are probably right on the release, that would be about three months out from Dark Elves. Hopefully someone at Warhammer Fest can ask FW if we are getting another team this year....though with the amount of time left in the year I doubt it. I suppose we could get the fourth team in November since GW has the no new releases in December deal. Dark Elves and Chaos were definitely teams that filled a gap, so I feel the year has been okay. If they can manage to get out the alluded to fourth team, I would say it's been a good year.

I know that it's personal opinion, but I don't really care much at all for the Star Player releases from FW, especially when so many teams haven't been touched yet. That said, I understand why FW does it - the Star Players are easier to produce and have a shorter turn around time from production to sale, and they need to put out something out to make some money and keep our attention.

Yeah, whilst I think there is a small chance we could see a December release of a fourth team, it seems more the next will be February. Dark Elves were announced in May and released July, which on that timeline would push Nurgle to October. Presumably GW would not announce a team before Nurgle hits the shelves - so seems a little too short as a lead up time.

...that said maybe, if Nurgle are somehow released in September a fourth team may just be squeezed in to make late Christmas lists

Though I have to say, I find it a little jaw dropping the amount of content that has come out of GW this year: Necromunda expansions, Kill Team, Titanicus - and that's on top of all the 40k and AOS. Seemed a big gap between Elven Union and Doom Lords....but with hindsight now I have to admire there was enough creativity for the releases we have had and the addition of spike in particular

For a team of two writers and four sculptors that's recently added another sculptor and a trainee writer, we do okay.

Holy cow, I had no idea the BB team was so small. You guys certainly get a lot done with such a small staff. 20+ teams and all the associated rules is a huge task for such small group of individuals. Glad to hear you folks at least got some (much deserved) reinforcement.

The specialist games have never been the focus, so that we have that many people assigned to this one game (although you probably work on other games too I imagine) is a significant comitment.. I am curious how popular the rerelease of BB has been (relative to other products)

And were you trying to misdirect us with those talks of sculpting conversion to plastic kits? As we are now going back to some of those original teams.

So now it seems almost certain that the next team is Nurgle, we now need to start round two.

My guess is.....

Wood Elves because I am expecting more of those early teams, based on the current trajectory. (For those wanting some undead, I have probably sufficiently cursed WE you will probably get your wish.)

Well there we have it. Proof of my lack of logic.

Have to say the models look horrific (in a good way). Exactly what I would expect from Nurgle models. Here's hoping that Spike comes in a sealed bag to prevent contamination!

I did not see the beast of nurgle previewed anywhere so I take it that is still to come? Hoping it keeps the back story of basically being a friendly doggy with every disease known to man plus a few more.

I'd say! Cranking out a lot of awesome, for such a small team!

Ok, so I guessed another one correctly "Nurgle". It's funny, because they fall into some of my least favorite teams, but just look at those guys! I don't think I'd be able to resist picking up a box. I've been following a lot of painting blogs lately, and I'm pretty interested at the chance of painting up my own Nurgle for Blood Bowl.

I'm also pretty curious what the Beast looks like. Might be something that I just want to convert, but will see.

Well looking at the other stuff previewed the Rouge Trader boxed set has a large mutant with tentacles who'd make a pretty good starting point for a beast.

I really like this new Nurgle team and it's amazing how much difference changing the heads makes. It really does look like there are 12 unique different models rather than 6 pairs with minor changes. On top of that there are loads of conversion potential by mixing the the Putrid blightkings, death guard or other nurgely models. The pestigors in particular are truly hideous. After a bit of disappointment with the chaos team it is good to see these guys making up for it, the new plastics really have been top quality.

I kind of hope there won't be too many new stars as there is already a lot of crossover with normal chaos.

Nurgle will have access to 10 Stars, so you can probably do the maths.

I have to point out because I am a pedant that the team roster contains a Rotspawn rather than a Beast of Nurgle. The BoN is a demonic entity that doesn't really loan itself to playing football alongside a team of mortals. Part of what we want to do with this edition is go back and change some names that feel wrong, to better reflect the lore and the game rather than the model range as it stood some years ago.
I hope that makes sense. I know I feel better for seeing BB stuff named as it should be named.
