Grisly Phillips. A Khemri skeleton. He was the first on the team to level up, gaining Dirty Player, and then managed to knock over more people than any other player in the league over the course of three seasons (his record has since been snatched by some other cheating players with good skills and stats). He finally got block in his third season but it didn't seem to make much difference.
He's not particularly good or special but he's a legend in the league and a key part of the team.

Re: Your Favorite Player
Vanilla Isis was selected MVP ("Most Valuable" being somewhat relative in a 0-0 tie against Orcs). He rolled a normal skillup.
(Just a reminder, he's a 5/3/2/7 Thro-Ra with Block, Leader, and Fend. He just learned Kick).
His best moment in the game was succeeding at a go-for-it (because MA 5) to pin the opposing Orc ball carrier against a Tomb Guard. Which should have been a defensive score, but the Orcs passed out of 2 tackle zones (!!).
Just to mention, the other (MA 7) Thro-Ra, Ol' Dirty Bastet, failed a go-for-it (with a reroll!) for the score. The old double ones strike again.
Oh well. That's unlife when you play Khemri

Re: Your Favorite Player
Here's mine! I loved playing with him so much I made a backstory and everything when I originally played him.
Name: 'Freaky Deak' Fingers
Race: Underworld
Position: Underworld Goblin
Team: Thunder from Down Under
Skills: Big Hand, Dodge, Foul Appearance, Horns, Right Stuff, Strip Ball, Stunty, Two Heads.
Fluff/Style: Born into the Underworld, like most of his kind, Deak got addicted to Warpstone. Ingesting a mass amount of it to try and gain an edge in the deep of the Underworld Blood Bowl circuit. He had a nack for the ball. It seemed to always be in a position for him to nab it and stride into the endzone. Even though he had much success in the Underworld leagues, Deak realized he had a problem. He had to leave his beloved Warpstone, or else he knew it would poison him to the point of costing his life. He set off into the open world, and found religion. He prayed to the Chaos Gods to help spare his life of the Warpstone that flowed through his tainted blood and in return he would score touchdowns in their name. Nurgle heard his prayers and gifted him with His pestulance. Gross and grotesque, opponents in the major Blood Bowl circuit were afraid to touch him. This made it easy for him to slip through groups of players, gobble up the ball, and walk in for touchdowns. All in Nurgle's name, of course! Displaying an un-matched ability on the field, especially after single handedly winning the Chaos Cup, other Chaotic Gods started turning their attention to Deak. Khorne wanted a piece of Deak's glory and granted him Horns, which gave him the ability to sack ball carriers and sweep up the touchdowns. Nurgle did not like that he was so accepting of another God and Deak was growing arrogant and disregarding the gifts that were bestowed upon him. In the finals of the next Blood Bowl Cup, Deak was close to the Endzone and the opposing coach demanded his team tackle him. Nurgle wanted to teach Deak a lesson and removed the Foul Appearance that he had so gaciously given him. He was hit and killed! So, ending the reign of Deak Fingers.

Just remembered one player from our league: Goblin from a Goblin team.
Rolled +ST for his first skillup and +ST for his second...
Imaging a Goblin facing off with black orcs...

Re: Your Favorite Player
Wow. Blast from the past. I wrote these way back in the day.
I used to play in a very active League. At the end of each 1-year-season, the player with the most TDs, Cas', INTs - etc. was recorded in the hall of fame. Usually, this opportunity was also used to include a brief history of his team in the player's Card. I was fortunate enough to have a few such players. I hope you like them:

A ST4 block/horns/frenzy gutter. The horns roll was on a double six too. It was on a team with a ST3 strip/wrestle/leap/VLL gutter, an AG5 wrackle/dauntless/leap gutter and an MA10 blodgestep/guard/two heads gutter.
Crazy fun team to play.

Snotworth Junkpuncher

Completely unremarkable (skill-wise) Goblin in my current Orc team. An absolute MVP hog, and unkillable, despite having a 220kGP bounty on his head (120kGP of which is from his own coach!), and an entire season of me offering free custom Armour/Injury dice to whoever could kill him!

This guy has soaked up block, after block, after block, after foul, and either dodges it, shrugs it off with his Adamantium AV7, or at worst, just goes for a little lie down in the Doc's dungeon. He's the worst possible value in TV weight right now, costing me an extra 100kGP in inducements against every game. And yet, I simply cannot bring myself to fire him, because he's got such a history, and is just so much fun. He either dies on the pitch, or stays with the team until they all retire. After all, surely one of my opponents will be willing to collect a 220k bounty, right?

3 double 6 on the same gutter20phoenix wrote:A ST4 block/horns/frenzy gutter. The horns roll was on a double six too. It was on a team with a ST3 strip/wrestle/leap/VLL gutter, an AG5 wrackle/dauntless/leap gutter and an MA10 blodgestep/guard/two heads gutter.

holy sh*t!
with those gutter, i assumed, you were even playing without blitzers! (i think it more efficient for a game, to 2 linemen than 1 blitzer, it's almost the same cost, and skaven need reserves)
my favorite player since i was playing bloodbowl, were actually a couple of ProElves Catchers:
- http://www.bbarena.net/player.php?id=75238
with respectivly 193 and 125
Block, Dodge, DumpOff, +1Mv, SideStep
Block, Dodge, DumpOff, Pass, SideStep,... and leap
When the 1st one died, the result of the team dropped down a lot

But i was keep going on with this team, as i want to get my first legend ever.
For the 6th skill, i choosed leap.
as i had no idea what to add him at this point.
it was the worth idea ever, as he died a couple of games later on a failed leap (1 RR 2, RIP apo RIP)

I directly retired the team

Bubby Bullford, Bull Centaur 6 5 4 9 Sprint, Sure Feet, Thick Skull, Block, Tackle, Mighty Blow
Played for Top Hats. Scored 63 TDs - topscorer in Mafoc Fury League.
