wesleytj: Sounds like a familar pattern for a 3rd edition league, but that's just not the kind of Blood Bowl I want to play now. The LRB leads to a much more enjoyable game, in my opinion.

i agree with you...mostly :)

i don't like the 4-star player teams where the stars do all the work.

i don't like 20foul average games.

that;s why stars are freeboot only, and that's what igmeoy is for. But I still think it'd be fine to have spps for fouling. :)

i'm not suggesting we go back to 3rd ed, just arguing zombie's point that it wasn't sustainable. I won with wood elves there, that should be proof of something :)

I don't know that there needs to be more encouragement for fouling. We've got an undead player in our league who's trying to get all his Zombies DP, just so he can foul every turn. Giving SPP's for that doesn't seem right.

This is the best indication that your league was in fact very friendly, and not violent at all. A violent league under those rules would have had at least 4 or 5 dirty player per team.

Er, yeah, that's the amount of fouling my league indulges in now. I'm used to far, far worse.

I disagree with that...I don't think it's the number of Dirty players on the average team that is primarily indicative of the overall league violence, that's just part of it. And sure there were a few teams with a TON of dirty players...mostly undead teams.

Many orc teams gave DP to all the line orcs that got skills, but that # was very low since they never made the field...with 4ogres, then blitzers and black orcs, sometimes the throwers never even played. :)

The teams with mutations fouled with the claw or fang guys because those skills were more versatile...they still usually had a DP or two but lots of times they rode the pine (against me anyway...presumably they were for REAL foulwars)

Anyway, the league was plenty violent. :)
