As you may or may not know, I ordered a team of 16 miniatures from Shadowforge/NewWave.

I recieved an email yesterday that "my package was sent". I though, "Good, I'll get them soon and paint them up"

Well, I got my package today. The minute I saw it I knew this wasnt good. It was an 8 inch my 6 inch padded envelope. Inside were TWO mini's, along with an invoice. On the invoice were FOURTEEN of my mini's stamped BACKORDERED.

Someone will die for this. I can't believe they have the balls to charge me 54 dollars for 2 miniatures.

Anyone have any suggestions? If my mini's are backordered for longer then 2 weeks im gonna kill something.

Check older topics, there is a longish post about NewWave, including a link to two pages full of complaints about their customer policy. Fortunately they just stopped communicating with me during the ordering process, so that saved me from them burning me (and my nerves)

Yeah sadly I've head worse things about NW than GEUW. lol

The first person to open a reliable minis mail order store is gonna be rich!

Sorry Masher ... on the miniatures forum at yahoo groups it basically says in the welcome to the group message; We all know that no one should ever do business with New Wave ... so please don't post about them anymore.

I could point you to multiple threads here and at the http://www.theminiaturespage.com that say "Never ever no matter how tempting it is .... don't ever order from New Wave."

Come Monday, I am going to use my companies skip tracer and find their number. Then, I am going to get them on the phone and *try* to get my money refunded, or at least find out when I will get my miniatures.

What a dissapointment.

Thanks for the link Galak. After reading some of the MANY complaints about them, here is what I intend to do:

1) Forget them and never deal with them again.

2) Call my bank and dispute the charge to my credit card. Inform my bank that I only recieved 1/10th of what I was to recieve and have them reverse the charge.

3) Order directly from Shadowforge for my missing models and bypass NewWave all together.

Yes, order directly from SF--you won't be disappointed. Even with shipping it's cheap and relatively quick. I wouldn't be too surprised if it actually cost less than New Wave, with shipping included.
