Why did you start playing?
i like some of that...as long as they don't take over the game. i like wizards, but i don't want stupid rules where every race has a different one, and i like that they've been removed from most games with the freeboot only rule. i don't like dungeon bowl (play wh quest or blood bowl, not both). i miss some of the cards in some ways but on the other hand i like the predictability...tho i would like to see some cards back in some way (but not really as a handicap tool because they didn't work well in that capacity)

i like the goblin stars, but only on goblin teams because they suck enough that it won't screw up the game, and because they have penalty rolls.

a lot of the stuff you listed is only borderline wackiness. the real wackiness is when ppl get carried away with the house rules. where they all have home stadiums and different kinds of fields, and they use snotlings for balls, and there are a hundred made up races where each one has unique rules, and skill levels (this guy has dodge 3 which trumps your tackle 2), and so on. that's what i don't like and don't want to see.

exactly. they were not a good handicap tool because of different team styles and just the randomness of them.

if i were playing against dwarves 100tr higher than me, and i pull burst ball, lurve potion, trampoline trap, and under scrutiny...i win. theres no way a dwarf coach can outscore me by 4 because essentially that's what he'd have to do.

i would like to see an abridged list of cards that would add some randomness to the game and to the league tho...some of the money cards would be ok, stuff like that boys got talent, and some of the magic items...i'd be ok with that...but it won't happen...i'm pretty sure it's an all or nothing thing, and as far as gw goes, it will be "nothing" because they lost their print sheet or whatever it was.

OK, odds are you would not pull all 4 of those cards, but some with similar results. Assuming you do pull 4 scorestoppers, a Dwarf team up 100TR will probably be able to grind you down easily. If all your cards are score stoppers, you won't have anything to increase your survivability, or scoring potential. Sounds like the odds favor a 0-0 tie. Perfect handicap. It evened out your teams perfectly.

Realy the cards were better for several reasons. You never know what the other guy had, so you were nervous about fouling or sitting outside the end zone for 3 turns. A revised set would be much better than the current list.

I would like to see a revised set of cards beacuse the unpredictability of them and the worry of what your opponent had was fun, but they did make a big difference to the game.

If I had my TDs stopped like they used to be now I think it would take a lot of getting used to.

Yeah, I'd like to see them do something that is downloadable, This hooey about "not every blood bowl player uses the net" is just crap!

I mean, they already do it with the LRB, Dungeon Bowl and alot of stuff!

Why not make some cards?

I didn't like what the cards did but I agree with the purple gorrilla. The fun of the cards was in holding them and worrying your oppnent. Good actors could bluff too!

One time my bro pretended like he was about to play his card a couple times. He made sure to do when I moved in his side of the pitch. Every time he would lift it up and then go "No...I'll save it." I figured it was a trampoline trap or something so finally was down by his end zone, I knew if I headed to the EZ with my ball carrier he would slam me with his card so I wanted somebody else to roll out with my runner to catch the lose ball. I risked dodging with my AG 3 Troll Slayer before I moved my ball carrier (who could have just waltzed in) I failed the dodge, lost the game and found it was a money card! BASTARD!

I forgot! I also bluffed him into paying me 50K to not play a Random Event card. (I hinted that it "might' be Peaked.) It was Bad Habits and I had forgotten to play it right away.
