Not so serious injuries

We once had an alternative seriuos injury table like this:
11-36 Miss Next Game
41-46 Niggling Injury
51 Foul Appearence
52 Frenzy
53 Thick Skull
54 Bonehead
55 Wild Animal
56 Really Stupid
61-66 Stat decrease as usual
It was created as a way to increase the diversity of serious injuries and add to the fun. Obivously Really Stupid linemen got ditched very quickly and I agree it takes a sense of humour to play with a Halfling with Wild Animal, but it worked pretty well. Oh the joy of inflicting Bonehead on a veteran Wardancer...
So, what do you think? Alot of other GW games have injury tables that can produce positive effects also, like this can, and I think it adds diversity to the otherwise boring serius injury table.

I know that one of the BBRC rules guys uses a table very similar to this in his home league in place of the aging table. It's interesting, and it makes the coaching decisions a little tougher.

Injury magnet teams would be so cool with wild animals and foul appearances running around!
It'd be great!

Way cool!
Knowing our undead player's luck he'll get Frenzying mummys.

Cool. It's something like the necromunda one with "horrible scars" etc.

Looks good to me. Makes for much more fun if it creates "one of those combos"... Frenzying halflings and boneheaded WDs have been mentioned!

Foul Appearance and Thick Skull look like bonuses to me. Shouldn't those be negative as well? Otherwise you might get lucky getting a serious injury! For the rest it looks OK to me.

Well, getting really stupid is rahter serious, so I added in some bonuses also. Three positive results isn't enough to make the table unbalanced. With some luck, you could actually benefit from being beaten to the gorund and those first critical games for low AV teams just might be a bit rewarding, too. This table wasn't intended for serious play.
Maybe you'd get -1 FF for getting Foul Appearence on an elf. And teams with Wild Animal Halflings should at least get +2 FF bonus :P

Well, that is the fun part of it. Why not allow positive injuries? as long as its only a few of them ... mordheim has some of them, too. And it really adds to the flavour/flavor (go, kick each other's butt, Tommies and Sammies!!

) ... you expect your model to get hurt but in the end end up with a better player. I like that!

Yup, that looks very nice! Knowing my bashy opponents I'll never get it into our league though
(please note: it's not the opponents themselves who are bashy it's their teams and playing styles

)
