Random mutations.

Would the effect of mutations be too badly undermined if they were random rather than decided by the coach. It seems like it would be more interesting, but obviously less powerful.
It may be balanced by being available on a roll of 9 on the SP roll, slightly reducing the frequency but not coming at the expence of a doubles roll, or available on a 2, 3 or 4, keeping the same frequency.

A related question, whould it be possible to have chao;s beastmen each have a random mutation instead of all having horns (kinda boring)
