Plasmoid's roster is pretty cool, though 4x 8338 3-skill humans seems excessive. Though I understand the reasoning behind it. Also I wouldn't be sure about Fend either on all the lineman. On the one hand, it is a bit like "cowering up" but on the other hand it's also manhandling the enemy and keeping them away from you. Though I realize the desire to have AG2 AV7 lineman that aren't too cheap. The only other skill a person could probably swap in without losing the flavour is Sneaky Git. To show the peasants are a bunch of dirty little bastards who'll jump all over the enemy (and maybe check their pockets while they're at it). And to me NoS seems a better fit for the Blitzers than Catch (given they're brave buggers). Also as it stands they're basically Human Blitzers+Catchers combined with ALL the strengths and NONE of the weaknesses. Plus Dauntless. All for only 30k more. And isn't that a little cheap? +1 Move and +2 skills = only 30k more than a Human Blitzer?? Though I guess they're consistenly price-wise with WWs and WDs. Or heck what if they were just 8338 Dauntless, NoS?

Either way, obviously it's not going to get changed at this point. And obviously it's not going to get added. We don't even have the 3 unofficial teams because there are no models for them. I don't think any new teams would get added until those models got filled out. But whether people want the team or don't want the team isn't really up to the fans so far as I can tell. Like most things it's not a democracy. People can just add it to their leagues or not.

I don't get the dislike for the Khemri team either. I quite like their 2AG roster. Though the original incarnation, the one with 12skeletons, 4mummies and 4tomb guardians was pretty broken (when TGs were 6327 Block, Guard to start). At first I was like "what's up with all the Undead teams? and ANOTHER elf team?" But the new teams have grown on me and it seems like they all have a little niche to fill.

Personally I'd STILL like to delete the Khemri team and make it 23.

Can't be having that. While all(except one) of my teams have a Futurama reference, the Khemri theme is too easy to pass up.

Dont remove the flings, you will make galak cry, me too I love the little guys. Best inducment based team in the game...though there really isn't another one which makes them a refreshing fun team.
I can see the argument for khemri but if I was forced at gunpoint to pick it would be nurgle.

personally I don't get all the khemri hate either.
Finally a bashy team that is actually a challenge, and not just mercilessly pounding your opponent with a 2-1 grind.
Now Elfs - that's the team I'd cut. They seem fairly redundant.

As for th Bretonnians:
I can see NoS being more chivalrious than catch. But I don't want to make this too knightly. These noblemen are glory-hogs, and they want the ball.
If the team was too powerful, I'd probably knock Dauntless off the Blitzers, making them even more of a catcher/blitzer hybrid, and less "knightly".
(As for the pricing, it is in line with everything else. Non-big guys get a discount on stuff over 100K. Werewolfs are a pretty straight comparison here.)
I can see the Linemen with Sneaky Git. I really can. But it would be a nerf - and not a small one, and I don't think the team needs such a big nerf.

A tally in general doesn't make any sense. This whole POLL doesn't make any sense. It's the same bloody poll that has failed for years. The fact that a lot of different people are voting "yes" and a lot of the people that voted "no" originally and decided to ignore this dead horse for the one hundred and twenty seventh time, does not prove anything.

First off...I can't believe this thread was necroed...yet again.

What I have a hard time understanding is why it's so hard to have a Brettonian themed human team. Brettonians are humans after all, so it would lend one to make a logical assessment that their base line stats would be comparable. Or if you MUST insist on having something different then proxy in an Orc team, or whatever team, as I've seen suggested before multiple times.

I've seen some very good looking Brettonian THEMED teams. I love pirates and ninjas but I don't insist that they each have their own roster. If I want it that bad I pick a roster that is close to what I'm trying to achieve and then give them slightly off the wall skills to match their traits. Why? ...because pirates and ninjas are a theme, not a roster. Knights are also a theme.

Maybe I'm just missing something here, but I think not. I just think that these Brettonian fans are hung up on needing a special skill set for making their knights ridiculously cheesy. I mean look at the stat line on that beast...8338 block, catch, dauntless GS. That's so much cheese it makes me

I've never seen a man wearing armor be as fast as a catcher would be. And I'm sure that those gauntlets are ideal for allowing one to wrap their fingers around a ball in the appropriate manner to actually catch it. 6329 block, dauntless GS...maybe. But I digress, just porxy a team. PLEASE.

It has probably already been said somewhere but in my opinion the best way for them being official one day is trying to make it easier for people to push their locals league to accept them. These people interested in brettonians being official... have you thought of sculpting and casting a beautiful brettonian team? I'll probably buy it and once buyed and painted I'd deffinitely play with them

For one thing, Darkson's poll was pointing fingers at an unfinished roster.
Or maybe some of the conservative old-boys have stopped playing Blood Bowl?

As for telling Darkson to back off, I found it rather tactless of someone so outspoken on this subject to edit my post, adding a "yawn", when I actually added something new (as opposed to 98% of the posts made in this thread). But it sure added to the grand history of mod-creativity here.

I'm not assessing existing teams. I mean we could get rid of Norse, Zons, Khemri, Nurgle, and others too based on the same principle you've put forth. But love them or hate them these are established teams. I'm merely pointing out that there are teams available to achieve the desired goal without creating a whole new roster.

I'm not bagging on creativity either. As a matter of fact I believe my suggestion would require a good deal of it. And I'm also not trying to insult Plasmoid, I just don't like that roster. It needs a good nerfing due to some obvious flaws. If you want to use it and your opponent is agreeable to it then by all means go for it. I however wouldn't allow that roster on my table in it's current form.

This doesn't even look like a dead horse anymore it's been kicked so much.

Bret haters, sure you might keep on b-twichin that you don't want them in because you can't imagine a heavly armoured guy picking up the ball e.t.c but we accept the far fetched with this game all to often to dismiss the possabilitys. In all honesty the game could have 50 rosters and I would only care if they were unbalanced, plasmoids is balanced , and in all honestly I think it desrerves recognition by the BBRC.

Sure I hate khemri, and nurgle but I don't go as far as to openly mock the people that support and like those teams.

No...that's why Bull Centaurs don't have catch and are AG2. As I've just stated above, putting my personal hatred of Brets aside, I don't care how many times you proclaim that it's a well balanced roster I simply would not accept it in it's current form. And it's not that I don't appreciate the work that's been put into it. In a way I admire the fact that someone would be willing to do that. I just find it futile.

And I'll reitterate...8338 block, dauntless, catch GS is a cheese factory.
