I suppose it's like most things... if the kick is "normal" then the likely turn of events is to cage up the ball and advance... or "elf-cage" it by playing keep away till a whole lotta receivers are downfield and the pass is away....
If a "Blitz" is rolled... one side is more decimated/doesn't get back their KOs... then that would make a difference....
All things being equal, I think initial possession in overtime pretty much makes scoring a moot point....

In the little leauge I play in its just sudden death (next score wins). I figure if you win the coin toss you have a better chance to score but its not a givin. All in all though there are worse ways to lose a game than on the last roll of the dice (or flip of the coin) as it were.S.
