Chaos Dwarves

Post by Stuntman Mike »

I am going to start a Chaos Dwarf team and get the Minotaur, Centaurs and Dwarf Blitzers (Dwarf Vaadur) from Heresy. Can anyone suggest good figures to use for Hobgoblins? (Please send Pics if Poss)

Thanks :D

Mike, if you're going for a CD team, hold out for some of Impact's new Dwarves... they look very Chaosy (if that's actually an adjective!) a team full of Va'Durr's would be very samey. GW Hobgob's would be cool, but a lot of people use the impact Razorbacks or Gnolls as substitutes (I'll be using Razorbacks when I put together my CD team, as I'll also use them as Beastmen on my Chaos team)

The Razorbacks rock, i painted some and i love them

You could make a total Impact CD team if you mix and match

Swinetaur (to be released)
Fatgoblins Evil Dwarves (or some of the new Dwarves that havent been released yet)
Razorbacks as Hobgoblins

There are going to be Impact Hob Imps also

Goblinforge centaurs are also cool, if a little too dynamic

My recommendation for CDs and Hobgoblins would be Rackham Confrontation minis:

Mid Nor Dwarves fpor the CDs and their Goblins as Hobgoblins.

Cut his axe hands off, and then cut the axes out of his hands, then flip the hands around so they are facing parrallel with with the ground....or just clip the weapons out. I just think he looks sooooo cooool

Imagine flying into someone else's country and killing it's leader with a cane. And then taking all thier money. Well he's Scrouge McDuck and I guess he can do whatever the flip he wants.

That's exactly what I got to make a CD team. Don't know when I'll ever get around to it, but I found stores that were putting Confrontation figures on clearance, given that Rackham's switching to pre-painted plastics, and couldn't resist picking them up cheap. got a bunch of Mid-Nor Dwarves for CDs, a couple Mid-Nor Prowlers of the Abyss as Bulls, and Goblin spearman to be the Hobbos. I'll just have to come up with a minotaur now, as I'd have still had to pay $20 if I wanted Rackham Mid-Nor minotaur, and I wasn't about to do that.

Cool looking figure, yes. But the first issue is that he only comes in a two-figure pack, in which this one's the "enraged" version of the other, normal figure. And second, how big is he? I couldn't find that information anywhere but, given that I did see that the two figures in the pack were both supposed to be on the same base size, I'm guessing that's the 30mm display base, which might make this guy a little small for a Big Guy.

I'm going to be doing a CD team soon. I'm definitely using the street bawl dwarfs soon to be released by IMPACT!

I'll also be using their minotaur with a choice of 5 heads, pictures not currently on general release. And their dwarf centaurs which are still at the concept stage at the moment, but are being done by Fatgoblin (I think), who did the black rock dwarfs currently on sale.

For hobgoblins I'm going to use the heresy goblins that should be out early 2008:

I think with some green stuff for leather hats and a few pads these guys will be perfect for evil fouling little gits! :D

Hope that this is useful
