General
Do you get SPPs for a Hand Off?
No. -Chet
What happens if a player with AG6 tries to throw a long pass, and rolls a 2? Does he fumble or successfully pass the ball?
It's officially a fumble.-Chet
Does the players being pushed into the ball get to pick it up, or does the ball bounce?
(It bounces). It's covered in the LRB.-Chet
If someone is pushed back into the ball and the ball scatters on one player of the active team who fail to catch it, is that a turnover ?
No. Check your list of allowed turnovers.-Chet
Do Goblins and Halflings have to pay double for Big Guys (other than Trolls and Treemen respectively)?
No, they cost the same as they do for any other team. However Big Guy star players still cost double unless they are Treemen or Trolls -2002 Rules Review.
Skills and Traits.
Does Sprint & Pass Block enable a player to Go For It and move 6 squares during his opponents turn in order to move in position for a interception ?
Going For It is for players who have taken a normal action and used up all of their MA.
It's not for Pass Block.-Chet
Do you have to announce before rolling the dice on which roll (armor or injury) your player is going to use his bonus from Mighty Blow or Dirty Player?
You don't have to use a skill until seeing the dice roll unless otherwise stated in the skill description. -Chet
Can a player with "nerves of steel" use it on an interception attempt?
Yes. -JKL
Could someone please go through what the official rules for TTM. Right from the Big Guy picking the player up down to the stunty fellow landing?
1. Big Guy declares his Pass action.
2. Handle any racial characteristics related to moving the player.
3. If the Big Guy is not adjacent to the team-mate he is about to throw, move him there, handling any necessary dice rolls
(dodge, GFI, etc.) as normal.
4. Measure distance from Big Guy to target square, using the range ruler.
5. If necessary, make Always Hungry rolls. If the player gets eaten, forget any of the remaining steps
6. Make Pass roll.
7. If the pass is a fumble, drop the player in his square and follow the directions in the DZ Playbook.
If the pass is inaccurate, roll 3d8 for scatter and make a landing roll at +0. If the pass is accurate,
make a landing roll at +1. (All landing rolls are subject to -1 for each enemy TZ on the square in which
the player attempts to land.)

If I use Diving Tackle on an AG5 player and he rolls a 3, does he go down?
Like all players, the AG5 player gets +1 for making a dodge. His target number is 2. A roll of 1 before modification always fails, of course. So long as he rolls a 2, he's fine.
Now add a Diving Tackler, who causes a -2 modifier to be added to the die roll. The net modifier is -1, but the target number is still 2. A roll of 3 with a -1 modifier is a 2; the player succeeds and keeps moving. -Chet
Can a player with Strong Arm effectively dump off up to the short pass range?
Dump Off and Strong Arm do not combine. Dump Off allows you to throw the ball to Quick Pass range.
Strong Arm allows you to reduce the range of any thrown ball, but never below Quick.
As a Quick Pass is always a Quick Pass with Strong Arm, you won't notice any effect. -Chet
Can PassBlock be used against a Hand Off ?
A Pass is a Pass. A Hand-off is a Hand-off. You can PBlock passes; you can't PBlock hand-offs. -Chet
If you roll doubles with a Big Guy ally, can you drop a negative trait? Under the most recent rules?
Nope. You can't get rid of Characteristics. -JKL
Freebooting
Can you freeboot a player if you already got 16 players on the roster...?
No.-Chet
....If not, can you do so if you got some players missing the game ?
No.-Chet
If I have two big guys on my halfling team and one is missing a game, can I freeboot another one and stay within the rules ?
No.-Chet
Do you need to keep track of a freebooted player on your roster for the team rating to reflect such an "administrative" move ?
No. -Chet
Handicap Table
23 BIASED REFEREE: The opposing team count as being under the eyes of the referee for the
whole match (i.e. all fouls will be spotted on a 4+).
What happens I throw a foul? Are we both at 4+?
You foul as normal. The other team always uses a 4+ roll to get caught, whether or not the eye is on them. -Chet
25 GREASED SHOES: Pick a player on the opposing team. You've paid someone to grease the bottom of their
shoes and their agility is reduced to 1 until a touch down is scored or the half ends.
So the only effect is that the player sits out for the first drive of the game, correct?
Mighty sneaky to just sit the player, but yes, that's about the extent of it.-Chet
56 ASSASSIN: Your team has hired an assassin to take out one of the other team's top guns.
Pick a player on the opposing team and make an injury roll for him. The opposing coach may use his Apothecary or Regenerate trait on the player, but an Apothecary used in such a fashion is not available for this match.
Can a stunned player still be set up for the first drive? Can I roll for the knocked out player before the first drive?
Stunned and KOs aren't supposed to do anything. I realize this isn't clear, but it's a pre-game mechanic rather than an in-game mechanic. -Chet
65 IRON MAN: One randomly selected player on your team is determined to play hard for the whole game,
no matter what the cost - in fact, he refuses to get injured! If an opposing player beats his armour roll,
he is only Stunned.
Does the opposing coach still get to make an injury roll? If the roll is 10+ does the opposing player get the Casualty SPPs?
You don't roll, and you don't get casualties off iron men. If you break AV, put down the dice! It's a stun.
In other words, the entire table for the Iron Man reads, "2+ = Stunned"! -Chet
If you get an MVP award before the game from the Handicap Table, and the player gains a skill, if he ages and gains a niggle, does he have to make the niggle roll to see if he can play in the game?
You roll for the niggling injury. -Chet
