Did you know? Monkeybowl has been held at the Masonic Hall in Hartlepool every year since 2006.

Liked that piece of trivia? Well did you know this? King John's Tavern in Hartlepool has been the social centrepiece for all 12 previous Monkeybowls. Still going strong!

Did you also you know? Here at the hotbed of relentless innovation which is Monkeybowl central command, we believe that Monkeybowl (in 2010) was the first tournament to use "Tiers" i.e. give extra skills (and treasury that year) to traditionally less competitive teams. Controversial at the time; now a standard feature of many rulespacks including huge global events.

Further to all of the above, we don't believe you could possibly know that... ...popular Monkeybowl late-night discotheque "Loons" was threatened with closure earlier this year. Happily this was averted at the eleventh hour and Monkeybowlers can expect the usual cocktail of cheesy music and sticky underfoot conditions next April! Rumours that the licencing manager at Hartlepool Borough Council is a Mason are strenuously denied by the Monkeybowl organising committee.

Nice to see Ironjaw on the list. A Japanese darts man came on to ‘Crazy Nights’ last night and I thought of Leon. How dare someone rip off the Warrior?! I was incandescent.
