How many “official” stars are there now?
I’m curious how many stars there are in the game, as I am planning on painting up 1 of each eventually.
In CRP there were 56 entries, though one of those was Brick and Grotty, which makes a total of 57 stars. As far as I’m aware none of these have been invalidated and since the release of the new rules we’ve had 7 new entries, though again there is a 2 for 1 choice in the Swift twins. On top of that you have Madcap Miggz, which represents both a goblin and squig, but have a single profile.
If we just base it on players with unique profiles then that makes a total of 65 stars.
There are stars not in the books such as Grak and Crumbleberry, some of the classic 2nd edition ones have stats as well along with the White Dwarf and Black Gobbo, should any of them be included too?

The Bugman stars and Grack/Crumbleberry aren't "official", though they can be used at NAF events at the TOs discretion.
Not sure on the White Dwarf/Black Gobbo.

Depends on what you consider official, WD/BG are purely Forgeworld creations.
I believe there are 8 "New" "Official" Stars in Death Zone: Bo Gallanté, Glart Smashrip Sr, Guffle Pusmaw, Klara von Kill, Kreek Rustgouger, Madcap Miggz, and the Swift Twins Lucien and Valen (bought together but you'll need two models).

On the bold question, yes, and they're not official (the events team uses them but they're not in any rulebook).
