Bilerot Vomitflesh?

Post by bound for glory »

Was he Blood Bowls first black guy?

I was looking through the old BB Companion and I thought "It looks like the guy is black".

If so, then I guess up with the signs BLM!(Bilerots Life Matters)

All these views and ZERO remarks? I'm not being racist here. Heck, my buddy Danny was at my wedding and he was very black...

Anyone?

I feel the same way when writing in the Team Blogs section :-D

Regarding the subject at hand, I don't have BB companion so no idea. Now that you mention it, I don't remember any black human minis in the manuals. Maybe it is because it is more difficult to paint? I have seen some nice black ogres/zugs in Facebook, though.

Not enough diversity in Bloodbowl. So much green, rarely see a black guy. I have a couple of black thralls and my amazon team is black (except for the loner who is a blonde caucasian). Having a new Amazon team done and guess what, they too will be black.

If you cannot stall out for an 8 turn drive to score with dwarves then you need to go and play canasta with your dad..if you can find him.

Yea, I did the same when I painted up my second set of Blood Bowl humans. Probably inspired by someone doing the same.

As for BFG's original question. No clue, as I haven't been around Blood Bowl as long as most.

Oops, and I forgot to mention that I also tried different skin colors on the Ogre Bulls I picked up for an Ogre team. While it worked quite well for the boxed set plastic humans, which didn't have too much skin showing...the Ogres have a lot of skin showing and I found my paint turned out really blotchy. Hopefully I'm a better painter now () and won't make that mistake again.

darker flesh tones can be pretty challenging to paint. dr faust has a tutorial on his youtube channel. he paints to a much higher standard than most of us, but the techniques could be simplified to get a decent result.

There's also facial structure and hair to factor in. A lot of models have European looking faces and just painting their skin a different colour looks like they have painted their skin that colour.

Thanks Mikey, yea, I would probably get to the 5 minute point and call it "done!".

Is that Atom Smasher by the way? Sounds like the same guy: https://www.youtube.com/user/tabletopminions

With those painting skills, I can definitely tell you that "dr faust" and "faust_33" are NOT the same person.
