New Tournament Award - Well Done, You Did OK
After co-creating and successfully spreading (like a virulent plague) the, now international, Glowworm Award for coming in 4th place, I am championing a new award: "Well Done, You Did OK" award.
This will be quite rare as the criteria is quite precise.
The award will be given to the coach who ended in the middle of the table (so two coaches will be eligible from an even number of coaches) and ended with a net TD 0 and net CAS 0.
List of known winners:
Lunchmoney - Gertbowl5, 25/26 July 2015
nightwing - Exebowl 2, 17 October 2015
ZeCid – Brussels Bowl #1, 29 November 2014
Knightly - Bubba 3, 20th February 2016
Lycos - ACC 27/28 Aug 2016
Gilthanas - Brussels Bowl 4 - 26th November 2016
Sann90210 - Foul Bowl 2019
Gotrek_el_matatrolls - Thrudball Live 2020
Hendy - davotational 2022

Re: New Tournament Award
Recent Crumbbowl saw two people nearly get this;
Buggritt ended in 24th (from 46) with net TD 0, but was let down by his CAS of +2, and just 2 places off, in 26th, berghaus had the net TD and CAS of 0! Both so close
And at just past Bubba Bowl Glowworm managed to end 15th, from 30, with net TD 0, but again was let down by his CAS -4 , and the other side of the centre line, in 16th, Sann0687 managed the net TD 0 as well, but went over on CAS, with +3.
Will no one get this?

Re: New Tournament Award
After a weekend at Gertbowl I ended with 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses. Nice and average.
I also managed to achieve net TD 0 and net CAS 0.
I just now need to see the table to see if I ended in the middle, but I might on to a winner here

Re: New Tournament Award
So you invent an award, and look possible to be the first ever winner of it?

Re: New Tournament Award
With an even number of players both 18th and 19th are eligible (as the best position is 1st not 0th).
So yes you did win your own award
Surely there should also be an award for being the first person to win an award they invented!!

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Re: New Tournament Award - Well Done, You Did OK
I just check this awards at the tourney i've organized.
Elminster almost did it @Brussels Bowl#3
1/1/1 in this 3 rounds tourney.
12th on 24 coachs.
net TD = 0
unfortunatly, he made too many CAS during his wins against goblins (net cas = +5)
Artag was very closed @#2:
1/1/1
11th/22
net TD = +1
net CAS = +1
But ZeCid did it @Brussels Bowl #1 !
1/1/1
17th/34
TD: 3 - 3
CAS: 2-2
it seems more easy at one-day tourney.
Orc sounds like a perfect roster for this challenge:
- not to powerfull
- not too weak
- won't score too much
- could defense well
you just need to be carefull not to do too many CAS.

Hmmm.... should I award it to events that took place before the creation of the award?babass wrote:I just check this awards at the tourney i've organized.
