Chaos Dwarf team first skill
Hi guys, I'm relatively new to the forum (been lurking more than posting)
After years I'm finally about to participate on a bb league again with a Chaos Dwarfs team I've converted in the past year, but 2weeks from the start rules of creation changed from 1200 tv 2 single skills and a double ( I would select block for both BC and claw for a cd) to 1100 and a single skill
So goodbay to the Minotaur but I'm interested to know which single skill you would select with that setup, I'm oriented for block on a cd but maybe even MB on a cd could help skill that player, what do You guys think about it? Stick to the original plan or?
Thank you

I'd be tempted with sure hands. Either on a hobgob, or a centaur. With one single skill to give, (assuming progression) sure hands on a centaur is likely to be the best bet for giving one team member an easy start to their career.

Block, Break tackle or sure hands on a bull
Sure hands or Dirty player on a hobgoblin
Guard or Mighty blow on a chaos dwarfs
Those would be the 1st choice as a single skill imho.
Sure hands on a bull would make sense to give him a good start in his career en help him get the necessary experience points from scoring...

I think to start with this roster

3rr

Re: Chaos Dwarf team first skill
Do I really need an apothecary for unskilled players?
What about to drop a hob get an apo and 4ff?

I'd rather have the ability to save a bull or dwarf as opposed to an extra hobgoblin.

Being able to save a Bull or Dwarf will help your long term development much better than having some extra fan factor to start.

Ok got it, thank you guys.
one last question, assuming I will get the apo,
Do You think it's worth to drop an hob and play in 11
To start at least with 4ff? The hob can be bought right after the first
game anyhow

Re: Chaos Dwarf team first skill
Not to be rude or anything do you expect to win matches early?
If not, there is no point in buying FF as you could well lose it. If you expect to win matches you will probably gain it. I would suggest an extra player would be better than FF for your starting team (butter up the comissioner of the league and see if you can get him to go with the 'alternate rule' of 5 free FF )
With one skill I personally would take Break Tackle or Sure Hands on a Bull Centaur. Sure Hands if there is a good chance there are going to be Wood Elves/Slann with Strip Ball, if not, probably Break Tackle to give a more reliable St4 Blitzer/Ball Carrier.

No offense taken, I just thought ff I could be useful to win rolls.Loki wrote:Not to be rude or anything do you expect to win matches early?

Anyhow your initial skill plan makes sense I'll stick to it.
Thank you
