Armorcast Warlock Titan commission

Post by odinsgrandson »

So, this is the largest mini that I've painted. At least that I've completed- and that includes minis that weren't originally meant to be minis like some of those dragons I got from the Asian gift store.

Yep, Armorcast made some big minis back in the day. So, we couldn't really fit this bad boy into the light box like normal to photograph him, so we ended up with some odd angles.

The head is interchangeable. Actually, none of this mini was glued together when we sent him off (I mean, there's just no way to ship a bad boy like this otherwise).

I'll let you copy that paint job on mine if you fancy some practice to improve your technique ;-)

Just Wow!!

PS: I've got a bunch of old Eldar that need paint, as well, and I'd be more than happy to lend them to you for practice!

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

It is about two feet tall, more or less (I think the head is actually under two feet, but the spines on it's back take it over a little).

I know that's sarcastic, but I do this for a living, so I'd be very happy to repeat this color scheme on yours. Really happy.

I guess that asking for a tutorial to let us "brushwork mortals" peek into those wonders, is out of the question then...

Not at all. I feel that I don't need to keep secrets in order to stay in business. I figure, I can just keep being good at this instead.

Here's a write up I did on the lightning techniques I used here.

Here's one for the starscapes.

If you have any other questions about the painting, I'll answer them for you.
