Re: The final standings???
I was gutted for Podfrey. He was on the top table for close to 3 rounds and he didn't make it due to the draw with Joe (Cracking game by the way from what I saw). Top coaches playing at the top of the game. Great to watch.KFoged wrote:Yes, the final is after round 5 And Podfreys dwarfs was 1 tiebreaker points from it...fire olli wrote:How do they work out who goes in the final?

He was up there as early as Round 2. I was sat on table 1 and had Geoff causing some poor Skaven player all sorts of grief next to me. I think the poor bloke was down to two or three rats at one stage.
Of course, that was when it was pure random from round 1 winners who was up there and not based on the tie breakers from what I've understood.

Re: The final standings???
Round 1 = Random pairings
Round 2 to Round 5 = Sorted first by points (win = 30, draw = 10, loss = 0), then randomised between those on the same points
At the end of Round 5 the whole list is sorted (on the order below) and the top two play the final:
Total Points
First Tiebreaker (net TD + net CAS) - this is where Belias had +14 and I had +13
Second Tiebreaker (net TD) - I had +7, Belias had +5
(Don't know how they would have seperated it after that.....)
So it was about as close as you could get it!!

Re: The final standings???
Thought it was tiebreakers after round 3 (so for rounds four and five as well).
No matter.

Re: The final standings???
Results will be up very soon on the NAF site and here.
Thank you Don_Vito for the results run-down. Best Painted was won by Steven Marlow (I believe it was the elf team, refs please correct me if I'm wrong).

Pippy is emailing the Score save file this evening. I'll filter out the Finalists and post up the complete final standings shortly after I get the file.

Re: The final standings???
Pretty close on the build... Just 2 Re-rolls though, 2 trolls, ripper, 9 gobbo's plus Pogoer, hopefully I'll get more normal & the secret weapon goblins converted & painted for Thrudglowworm wrote:Goblins, TBH he had a cobbled together team with no secret weapons, he's modeling up an entire superhero team and had'nt made them so rather than just use "normal" gobbo's he decided (rather bravely) to stay in-theme... i think his roster wassann0638 wrote:What was Buggrit using?
2 Troll
Ripper (star player troll)
Pogo'er (Doc Octopus gobbo)
3 R/R
9/10 Gobbos
Add to that he's never played a tournament game (or a league game IIRc) with Gobbo's, he has had 6 games with 'Flings (Newquaybowl one year) and you begin to see the problem.....
not a complete waste for him tho', he did get free entry to next years NAFC, and new dice!!

Thanks for these results guys.
Color me Bone-Headed but can someone explain the difference between a Champion and League Winner?
Champion; Kfoged - Dark Elf
League Winner; Podfrey - Dwarf

Re: The final standings???
After round 5, instead of playing the normal round 6, the 2 highest ranked coaches play the final. The winner is known as Champion.
The rest of the coaches play the normal round 6, and in the end, the coach with the highest score is the Winner.
Therefore, if the final is won "just" by 1-0, and the third positioned player (for example) wins by 2-0, at the end of the tournamente he can end having more points than the Champion, which is what happened, I guess. It seems it also happened with another coach, as the Champion is positioned in 3rd place in terms of points (but first in terms of glorious honor).
Sorry for the bad english, but I hope I made me clear enough.

Re: The final standings???
Should also point out that Kfoged and Balias only have 5 rounds worth of points on that table. Their round 6, the Final, is not recorded there.
