does a team have to be 11 or more 'normal' players before adding induced star players?
Or could it be 10 players + a star player?
As a star player is an inducement, then you have to have 11 players (or more) on the roster, before you hire a star.

Thus, 11 + star.

I think it's pretty clear:
1. Before each game (i.e. games 1-6) you select one skill
2. Skills must be selected from 'permitted skill categories' (i.e. not doubles)

This is exactly the same rule and wording as last year. It wasn't a problem then.

If I'm missing something or anything else that's unclear, just let me know :)

I just wanted to follow up on this - it's the wording of "permitted skill categories" that caused me confusion - both singles and doubles categories are "permitted" depending on what you roll. It would be simpler just to state that you mean singles and that caters for low intelligence idiots such as myself ;)

Hi Axiom,

I think you have a fair point (but I don't wish to upset anyone).

If you change the wording to read:

1. Before each game (i.e. games 1-6) you select one skill
2. Skills must be selected from the Normal skill categories permitted for that player (as per 'New Skills' on page 26 of the rulebook) and so may not be 'Double' skills

I think you have what the organisers were aiming for.

Cheers!

I think it's a fair point. 'Permitted skill categories' was intended to mean those 'normally permitted with a normal roll' but it could be clearer.

As I say since there were no probs last year and this is the same wording, I think things will be OK. I will clarify it next year (assuming I'm still involved / we keep the same rules!!).

Cheers
Brendan

That's the acid test of course - if 180+ folks have no problem interpreting it, it gets the correct message across :)

Maybe you could put those who have paid in bopld on the list of entrants. Naming and shaming is always good. Plus BB coaches like to have something to aim for, even if it is seeing their name in bold!!!

Thanks!
