Hi there
Some people here in Denmark have voiced that they´d like a fourth match saturday after dinner so that it´ll be a total of seven games. We have discussed this and have decided that for us (as a whole) we support that idea.
How do people feel about this? Is it the best idea ever? Perhaps the worst one? Will it take Eurobowl to new heights or drain it of its charm? Perhaps you have no opinion but would like to post anyway or maybe you just couldn´t be bothered with such trivial tasks in your attempt for world domination?
Anyway we´d like to hear if people like 7 games or not?

For me the two most prominent reasons for is that we come to play BloodBowl (and more games equal more of that!) and the more games the more chances of the right winner in the end.
However I don´t know if people get tired, feels that it removes the chance for socializing, that people fear getting drunk under dinner or whatever? (Remember that we eat at the venue however).

Hmm. Not sure. The socialising is a huge part of Eurobowl for me, and I don't think a seventh game adds enough to merit taking that away.

I'm a fan of 7 games as a rule. I think 6 is often at least one too few for a Swiss to fully even out.

Not sure about it at a EB. When you chaps (the Danes) decided to play game 4 on the Saturday evening last time, I was destroyed tired and some of us were on the way to destroyed drunk. I don't get to see enough Europeans often enough to not want that extra social time.

I suppose I'm happy either way!

not been to EB yet.
So from other large events, I'd say real socializing takes place after the last game of the day.
Thus this reduces socializing time.
And after three games of bloodbowl, TALKING about those games to others is more bloodbowl than actually playing another game :)

my 2 cents

i will let you know my thoughts after Poo bowl as this is a 7 game event,

more games will equal out the swiss and also get us to meet more people as this could be our first in Wales, but also the social aspect could suffer.

the 7th game is also the begining of the social if you didnt already know these guys and gals.

so either or is good so far

4 in a single day is a lot. What about having the extra game on the Fri night? May start as soon as arriva and must start by 8pm, and midnight is the end time?

6 games is enough for me - 1 less defeat for the weekend

Don't think another round helps the even out the swiss tbh as we'll already be playing a couple of rounds too many, given the likely turnout.

If we do go for a 7th game then I moot that the drinking of alcohol during the post dinner game should be compulsory :D

7 games for sure!!

Also , are the Danes looking to run a sepperate side tournement for those who want to come, but can't make it in the national team?

Yes there will certainly be a "sidetourney" - hopefully the biggest of it´s kind yet :)

7 games!

there will still be time for being social (read getting Joe drunk)

The 4th game wont make the day end much later than we are used to, I predict we will have less downtime between games :)

If I would attend I would be ok for a seventh game . There is a short time to play all good coaches, 1 extra match sounds good for me, whenever you want in the week end.

That will be a good idea.

..4 games on Saturday means that the socializing part will restricted or that the games should begin at 8pm so 2 games will be made before and 2 games after lunch

I presume this idea will get added into the captain's vote on proposed rules (whenever that ends up being)?
