Getting in the mood with Superbowl XXXVII

Post by Mocaiv »

Its been a few years since I watched a Superbowl, or even followed the NFL much, but with the Raiders making it to "the show", I have to watch tonight.

My Greenskin Raiders may pick up a tip or two. Although the passing game is not an Orcs stongpoint.

Any other non-yanks here follow the NFL?

Haven't watched NFL for ages (no channel 5) but used to enjoy it and always fancied watching a superbowl. Gave up on it this year as I'm in Poland with odd satellite tv in the hotel. However, for some reason I was still up at midnight and it came on on some random german sports channel. Watched the first half, then realised it was 2am, which was bad news for work at 7, so had to turn off.
Enjoyed what I saw of it though.
Was a bit strange watching it with German commentary, it didn't really add to my understanding of it. Didn't help much with my bloodbowl tactics either. Except not to copy the oakland qb (gannon?) who seemed to get confused as to who he was throwing to, maybe the white and red shirts were a bit too similar for him. And maybe I need to take some of those cheerleaders with me to tournaments... :P

Well, it did'nt finish until 3:00am here so I have just made it into work a couple of hours late.

Bit of a disaster on the Raiders behalt, lets hop I do a bit better at The Bloodbowl.

Yeah, but they probably actually care about the result... You're not going to find many superbowl parties in England, June 7th, England vs. Argentina in the world cup - then you'd find a party, in fact you'd have to look for somewhere without a party
