Me and Schmee are all booked up for this. Staying at the riverside travelodge.
We'll be getting there Friday afternoon to meet up with peeps for a drink in town / Bugmans?
Bring on the sell-out!!!

I'm all paid up.
The lovely GW chap I was speaking to (they all seem lovely to me; where do they hide the lawyers?!) said they were surprised how slowly sales had started. Lots worse than previous years, it seems.
Still, bags of time.

I might stand a chance of coming higher than ever before seeing as noone is going.

Re: BB GT 1st/2nd May, 2010
Been contemplating a (non-playing) trip up to catch up with some of you I haven't seen in a while.....
By very happy coincidence The King Blues are playing Rock City on the Sat night... which swings it for me.
If you're not familiar with them.. I guess ska/punk is the closest 'genre phrase'.. without a doubt one of the most talented and exciting live bands on the UK circuit currently.
Youtube vid of Camden last time I saw them. This will sell out, so if anybody fancies joining me and sacrificing 'Sunday morning form' for what will be an awesome gig I'd advise getting a ticket in advance.

Interesting. I wonder if this is a bit of backlash over the CRP debacle. At this point I hope not ... it was what it was.Pgoo wrote:The lovely GW chap I was speaking to (they all seem lovely to me; where do they hide the lawyers?!) said they were surprised how slowly sales had started. Re: BB GT 1st/2nd May, 2010
I'm normally on the phones the morning they are released. This year I just don't seem to be bothered. I can see most of the people I know at other events and so the only reason I want to go is for the dice (I'm not fussed about rankings and bonuses for the majors).GalakStarscraper wrote:Interesting. I think that my apathy is in no small amount to GW's treatment of our community. The CRP garbage was a part of that, but the stopping of being able to buy bitz and all of the C&D letters to sites that were activily supporting the games that GW was not is a bitter pill to swallow. Protecting IP is fine, rudeness is not!
I'll probably end up going just to play BB and get some pretty dice, but I'm much more excited about the Elfball tournament on 6th March, Carrot Crunch and Rocket Bowl (and Thrudball if I'm not on holiday that weekend).

For the first time Baerbel and I will miss the BBGT. The flights were too expensive and 1 week later we are attending the Schnitzelbowl in Vienna.
