Yes, it was Hoomin who tried it..
And yes they got real arsey about it.

I gave them the 3 colours, GW official, based and numbered stuff.

I used standard humans from 3rd edition box last year and had no problems!

See now, I find their stance a bit on the BS side. They are, after all, official GW figures, they are even listed so in the rules for first edition BB. Heck, their rule does not even specify that they have to be METAL GW figs, just official ones. Sure, I can understand that they want you to buy more and more of their figures, and painting them makes the games look better, but come on! Some of us are unemployed or only marginally employed, so buying lots of minis is out of the question. Also, some people like myself are allergic to most paints and cannot paint minis. So, I find their heavy-handed attitude a bit of a turn off. Good thing I can't afford to go.
