Thanks for a great weekend

Post by HUMBY »

Cheers to everyone i played for a great time, probably the most fun i've had out of the four GT's i've been to despite my poor performance score wise.

All the guys i played were great sports and particular thanks goes to Frank Hill for passing on the lucky penny that allowed me to get my one and only win.

Cheers again all.

Thanks to everyone I played, met, drank with, swore at, laughed at and with, compared notes with, saw again, ate with, and talked bo####ks with.

A hell of a lot of dice against (tackle =1 for about half a game apparently  ), a hell of a lot of dice for (2 TTM TD's and 3-0 up at half time IS a p##s-take when kicking with Goblins  ), a VERY hot room and six games that gave me a headache

All 6 Smegheads back at Nottingham and kicking botty... same again next year? (Yes Ronnie, I'm baiting you )

Well done to all the coaches.
Had a fun tourney. Thanks to all the guys i played. It was fun, even when i was playing with AG1 gutter runners.

No thanks to GW tho. They charged us more, but did even less this year.

Bring on the Roze Bowl!!! :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

Have to agree. It's the only way GW will make any worthwile changes.

I'm inclined to agree too. I'd like GW to do something different and I'd prefer the bloodbowl to be the big event of the calender but only if it is the big EVENT not just the biggest number of coaches gathered.

But if the Roze Bowl goes ahead and the organisers make the event something special then it'll spell the end of my GW involvement.

I've been thinking more about this today.

And no disrespect to Dave and the NAF crew is intended at all.

But I don't give a flying f..k about profits/insurance/policy/agenders/business meetings etc.

I want to attend the best tournaments. Bloodbowl this year was the worst NAF tournament (in terms of the actual tournament not the night time) I've been to in my relatively short BB career.

Monkeybowl x2 better
Waterbowl better
Albabowl better

For more seasoned torni goers that list would go on and on and on Gsot.

My major concern would be that on my list there would be the Dungeonbowl and the Chaos Cup (3 times) which are far better then this one each and every year, and they are GW run??

From talking at the weekend, it seems you are 100% correct Gav.

Just can't wait to get stuck into some others!

I agree with the atomosphere what lycos has said on the other post it is electric, but ive noticed for a couple of years now that the atmosphere is less every year. I dunno why that is, might be just me i guess :(

I used to love the Bloodbowl its a great event, but now because of the ticket prices going way too high, and petrol prices going up as well (i know politics  ), the average wager like me cannot afford to go to these majors, and it pisses me off now.
