What team are you taking?

Post by PeteW »

With a week to go I thought it would be intriguing to try to get some idea of what team mixture will be at the GT this year. Last year there were surprisingly few amazon teams - which I was very pleased about!

I'll try to keep a running total here:

Amazons: 1
Chaos: 1
Dwarf: 5
Dark Elves: 1
Elves: 1
Halflings: 4
Humans: 3
Lizardmen: 1
Norse: 5
Orcs: 5
Skaven: 4
Undead: 6
Vampires: 2
Wood Elves: 3

undecided
flings/dwarfs: 1
woodies/zons: 1
dwarf/undead: 1

Update: the Hartlepool family Glynn now has a virgin bath.

Well I'm taking norse but haven't decided on the final line up.

1 Snow Troll 140K
1 Ulfwerener 110K
1 Berserker 90K
1 Runner 90K
1 Thrower 70K
6 Lineman 300K
2 Re-rolls 120K

Total so far 920K

which leaves 80K left to play with. The troll isn't the optimum choice for winning but the conversion i've done has turned out really nice so he's coming. at the moment am thinking of getting a lino, 1FF and upgarding the blizer to a 2nd ulf with the remaining cash.

For skills taking Leader on the thower, block on the ulfs, guard on the troll (maybe MB) and dodge on the runner.

I'm taking Orcs.

I'll most likely use the starting line up recommended by Double Skulls.

4 Black Orcs, 3 Blitzers, 1 Thrower, 2 Linemen, 2 Gobbos and 3 Re-Rolls

Although I have played in a league, it's my first time at the GT and I fully expect to get slaughtered. However, I hope to have some good games and learn a lot from some of the more experienced coaches.

I'll be taking up my norse, theres 5 of us in total so weve also got dorfs, pro elves, skaven and orcs.

my lineup is 1 x snow troll
2 x ulfwereners
1x beserker
1x thrower
6 x linemen
2x rerolls
1x apoth
1 x ff

Had to take the apoth because ive only got the 6 linemen atm and wasnt prepared to pay out £25 for 1 miniature!!
