Anyone up for Jose Gonzalez Sunday night, Rock City?
I've just been on Jose Gonzalezs website and noticed that he is playing Rock City 7.30pm on Sunday 21st October.
Jose plays very chilled out, soulful Latino influenced guitar based music and I think he's great . For the UK crowd his cover of Heartbeats was the track on that widescreen TV advert for a widescreen TV using millions of bouncing balls.
Not everyone's style and I know he's in London a couple of days later so I can catch him at home but I just thought I'd lay down a tentative feeler here to see if there's any interest?
If yes post here or buzz me a PM...

Well it's all English language songs, his father is from Argentina, his mother Swedish and he hits just the right chilled notes for me to relax .
Here are a couple of links to give you an idea:

I'm not even sure if it's gonna be the kinda mood I'm in as I may still be buzzing from the biggest BB event EVER but definately worth consideration...

And Heartbeats is a terrific song -both versions! The Knife is one of my favourite groups.
And for the EDM crowd, did you know Pete Tong is doing a gig on the Friday in Notts? I am gutted I miss the whole thing as I now have signed up for a friends leaving do in London same weekend -no world cup for me.
For Mr. Stick: EDM is a common abbreviation for electronic dance music. The youths of today listen to it.

My planning was twofold:
1) He's the coolest, chilled-but-still-interesting musician I've heard in the last 5 years (apart from Seasick Steve but he's chilled in a bluesy kinda way).
2) It just so happens it's the same weekend as the WCBB and I may need some calming down after my first ever 3 day event...
Whatever happens I'm down with that, justa last minute thought .
