Post Tourney Chatter...

Post by Ironjaw »

Just wanna say thanks to all my opponents this year...

Finished 8th in the end with Khemri, undefeated & also had a good laugh, saw all the regular faces and bell-ends and basically had an all round ace time.

My elbows wreck from all the head cradling the entire weekend- brain a bit frazzled.

Ref 's seemed a bit better this time, as was the food set up.

Cheers y'all...

Leon

Yes, they did Dan...we all got the coin. And the new Orange NAF dice too.

As Leon says, this year seemed very good to me but then I had a good tourney with 5-0-1 Dwarves, 3rd or 4th. Food was better, run better, I thought of the 3 I have been to it was the best.

PeteW beat Lucifer it in the final 2-0 and Mordredd pipped me to Warhammer champion (or whatever they call it) but all in all good tourney. Pippy with Orcs was 4th, Dwarfcoach 5th, Lucifer about 6th (after the -8 was sorted out but went on the hand out sheet).

Stunty cup was Thomas Raae Anderson from Denmark. Actually I see Darkson was 9th looking at the table.

Now I know lots of people will ask about the rankings but it is a big job because of the GW software so please allow a few days. Indigo and myself are working on this already only a few hours after the tourney but it will take a few days.

I said I wouldn't have another year with Gobbo's like the last one... and I was right! Oh dear, 1/2/3  (69/180 to 98/134 in one fell swoop  ) Still, stuck it to a Dwarf team so there's some credit to be taken I suppose

I enjoyed the whole weekend. The numbers were dissappointing, but then it wasn't a crush for everything this year, so maybe that's no bad thing having that kind of number attending.

Darksons coffee cup at No.5 (technically a carniflex or something 40K-ish apparently) did very well in the best painted team.

NAF dice far better than last years... you can see them and everything!

Cheers to everyone I played and met, another fun one for me. I'm in again for next year.

I thought this year was the best I've been to despite coming the lowest I've ever come at 53rd (I think, not got the results on me at the moment.

I had a great time and played some very fun opponents. And piss on squid filled a gap nicely on the Saturday evening. (Cheers Hoomin for that! :smoking: )

I had a great time with my gobbos coming a very disrespectable 121st, but fitting in two 2-1 wins against 'zons and undead amongst the four 2-0 drubbings I suffered. My lowest place (by a long way) in a tournament, but so much fun - thanks to my opponents, and well done to Pete (the winner) who I feel I can take some credit for, having graciously thrown my first game against him to set him on his way

...oh, and thanks to Hoomin for 'Piss on Squig' - much fun

I'm just off to my therapy session now to rid me of the mental image of Gav, in rock city, naked :puke:

Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when they find out, you're a mile away...... and you have their shoes.

Had a great time this year - seemed less tense and a lot more fun this time round.

All 6 games were against really good opponents who seemed to be there for the right reasons which was to have a good time.

Piss on Squig - defo a highlight.

If anyone has a results sheet could you tell me where Gareth Wynn (ticket 12) and Elaine Peazold (ticket 13) placed, we had to leave before the end to pick up our own squig from grannies.

Cheers

Don't know where Elaine ended up, but my game against her was one of my highlights of the weekend, so pass on my thanks, please.
