Hi Everyone,

Can you help me? With the changes in the Roster from BB2016 what is approved by the NAF? Does any one has the full roster for building the team from?

Thanks

Doc

Check out http://www.littlearmybuilder.com/bb/en#1
You can set your roster choice to CRP, BB2016, NAF, NTBB, Stunty Leeg, or Other. Choose NAF and pick your team :)

Current rules on this page from the NAF website.
https://www.thenaf.net/2017/05/naf-and-death-zone-2/
Specifically click on the link "NAF Tournament Rules from August 2017"

Also taking Goblins so this is what I've found out;

Team list from DZ2 (Doom Diver + Ooligan)
Star players from the list in the above document

One thing I'm uncertain about - are bribes half price for Goblins at a tournament as per CRP (CRP page 69 and LRB6 page 49)? DZ2 refers to Goblins only having bribes in LEAGUE play (DZ2 page 45 - Special Rules: Sneaky Gits). Maybe I need to look at the Almanac next to see what that one says :lol:

Yoou need to look at the tournament document for inducements including bribes.

This is probably the roster I would take...

2 Trolls 220k
Looney 40k
Fanatic 70k
Bomber 40k
10 Goblins 400k
3 RRs 180k
3 Bribes 150k

Total = 1100k

Skills
Day 1: 2 doubles and 3 singles (Block troll, guard troll, Hail Mary Bomber, MB Fanatic, dodge looney)
Day 2: 3 singles (2 sidestep goblins and 1 diving tackle goblin)

Although I have lots of tweaks! Exchange 2 gobs for Fungus (80k). Drop bomber for a gob and give troll or fanatic block. I don't rate the pogoer (70k), doomdiver (60k) or ooligan (70k) as worthy of precious TV.

Hi Pete,

I haven't played the team much in tournaments and not since the introduction of the doom diver. I also tend to take the Pogoer. I would be interested in you expanding your thoguhts on why you wouldn't take them.

Perhaps we can discuss on a train sometime!

Jim

Couldn’t find anything in there specifically on bribes, I personally believe the DZ2 restriction to limiting half price bribes to league play is a designed mechanism, but I think we need a TO to clarify what will be acceptable at this Tournament

They've had 50k bribes every other year, as Halflings have 100k chefs. Can't imagine it would be any different this year.

I'm not good at finding references couldn't see this in dz2 perhaps you could give me the page?

The tournament rules say all inducements allowed, I would assume this means 50k bribes for goblins. As Pete says it has every other year. But I agree other tournaments specifically clarify that point.

Page 45 of DZ2 refers to Goblins only having bribes in LEAGUE play (Bottom paragraph - Special Rules: Sneaky Gits)
Page 19 of the BB Almanac has it worded exactly the same.
Death Zone 2 wrote: Special Rule: Sneaky Gits
...In league play, Goblin teams can purchase Bribe inducements for half price, paying 50,000 gold pieces rather than 100,000 gold pieces.

To clarify I'm trying to write my Goblin roster for the tournament also;

I'm considering 3 trolls though (2 line trolls and the star player Ripper)

From the FAQ thread;
sann0638 wrote:I'm here, so will jump in. 50k bribes, no need for pitches, and yes the same people as last year will be selling. 2 weeks to go, hurrah!

Thanks found it, spent 20 minutes reading the page yesterday and missed the sentence. It's a funny way to refer to it, but if you look at it that way I guess most tournaments are short leagues, I've only played in one that had a knock out element.

I think that's just to help clarify what inducements are, as they're used in "league play" as opposed to single games. I can't recall any reference to tournament play anywhere in a Blood Bowl rulebook, so the "league play" citation shouldn't be taken as referring to bribes not being 50K in a tournament.
