2017 feedback

Too soon?
Edit: On request this jest thread will actually be the feedback thread.
I'll update the OP with comments and any replies, but I wont add repetitive ones (so 20 comments about the tables will only get one mention in the OP unless they are distinctly different comments).
Tables are too large
The tables are supplied by the venue and are what we have to work with. This is not going to change.
However as GW have made bigger pitches the tables shouldn't seem as large as once they were
I'm looking at tables options and will be talking with the venue Tuesday. - Hawca
Tiered races
"love the tiered ruleset, good to see Woodelves and undead not dominating the top tables, loads of racial diversity on the pitch!"
Good show!
"Hawca, top class event! Many thanks"
Can the draw be put in more places online? Twitter and Facebook for eg?
We'll have a look at upgrading the bandwidth. Or some other technical nonsense. - el prez
The painting comp
"A bit more direction and transparency on painting and the duel comp would be nice next year. I realise it is an aside. But people put the effort in so the issue shouldn't be sidelined IMO.
Judging for the duel changed from the rules pack, which stated public vote. When I queried this (for clarity) i was given very short shrift by a couple of the judges. I have no problem with the Change of tac, but announcing it would have bee civil."
Actually the rules pack on the NAF site (http://www.thenaf.net/wp-content/upload ... _final.pdf) states, "This competition will be judged by a small group of skilled people selected by the tournament organisers. It will not be a public vote."
Amend - the duel clearly states public vote. However it was said to a few coaches on the day that the decision was made to have non playing judges/staff vote as objectively as they could, so the vote would be about the entry not the popularity of the painter.
Time checks
"The only other thing it would be good to see next year would be a round clock or more regular timing updates from the refs."
There were regular calls over the PA with 1 hour announcements, 30 minute and 10 minute warnings. Plus the refs were wandering around a telling people in person that needed telling.
Projector
"I noticed the room was equipped with a data projector, and I can't help think it would be useful for two issues 1) putting the draw up on a big screen as a back up to the website, and 2) Throwing up a countdown clock during games, so everyone can easily keep track of timing. That helps satisfy both those that want constant updates, and those who only want an occasional verbal reminder."
Comes up every year - costs an insane amount from the venue. - Sann0638
And we cant use our own.
Some comments that are not so serious
Not invited to provide feedback sooner
Deal with it
Hawk ate all the food
Amazing. He wasn't even there!
Joe was forced to eat fruit
1984.
Why were there so many Halfling teams?
Sorry, my bad.
Why didn't we consider Sann's other commitments?
Just lucky I guess.
