What do I take?

I have no idea what I'm going to play for this tournament so I'll throw it open to the floor:

I can have Darkelves, Dwarves, Humans, Goblins, Lizardmen, Orcs, Skaven, Undead, or Woodelves tournament ready by March - so which one do I take?

Answers on a postcard.

Take Gobbos and give us a chance! ;-)

Actually Norse, dunno if I can get my gobbos painted up in time - do you have a team I could borrow? ;)

Welfs. :D
Andy Vulling racked up the most TDs at Res; and posted a W3 D1 record. Proof that at least 1 Aussie can compete with Welfs in a 1 mill Star Player environment. :P

Take Wood Elves. I haven't played against them in ages.

Why is it the Amazons always get left off of these polls. You lads are lucky that Chet isn't bringing his ladies to the tournament this year. I'm bringing my Ladies along but I won't be playing in the tournament. In tournament format a good Coach and Amazons will take out just about any other team, including Dwarves if they aren't coached properly. Now granted the coach has to know what he's doing, a rookie coach and Amazons would be horrible.

AMAZONS...... AMAZONS..... AMAZONS....

Simple - I don't own an amazon team ;)

I did but I was never likely to get them painted in time so I gave them away as a Xmas present.

Take dark elves - if you win the thing, then I demand lessons from you as thanks for my great advice.

Cheers,

i chose the team i would like to play against (not gobbos!). so you´ll probably do nicely if you take whatever gets the least votes.

Marcus, are you taking the poll winner as your choice?

If so, everyone vote Gobbos

If I buy you a Halfling team will you take them? :)

I agree than Amazons are a great tournament team, but the models are poor and alternative GW conversions not too easy... shame, if they did a new range where you could actually tell one model from the next one, and where the moulds weren't all screwed up and fuzzy, even I might have an Amazon team.. sigh... :x

I believe you are taking Lizzies to the Dutch Open Marcus? A brave choice. I know Lizds won the Res. last year, but I find them a very hard team to coach. Not enough skills or re-rolls. If the opposition stay away from your S4s and nail your S2s, you have no chance of scoring either...

I still think Gobbos are your best bet for a win.......

If you buy me a full halfling team, trees included, and paint them to your inimitable standard. Then yes I'll take them.

100% guaranteed promise that is. I reckon that'd be a bargain deal ;)
