Thanks Ian,

Great to know. I am also sure we will get a lot of people from the other kind of fantasy football popping by, but hey, maybe we'll get a convert or too.

I guess I'd better get my arse in gear and sort the data migration process :D

Things can only get better and if I don't get a public post out about it before shutting down the site at www.talkbloodbowl.com, good luck Ian and all the best to everybody at the new home of free Bloodbowl speech.

Cheers

Thanks JP for providing me with such an awesome forum for the last two and a half years I've been into BB.

Thanks Ian for getting a new forum sorted out.

You're both absolute legends.

I had purchased the domain talk-bb.com

If there is a need for me to host the domain, I can gladly host it. I can update the DNS for talk-bb.com to point to your site Ian if you wish.

However ... in the long run ... its a safer domain.

Already talked about this with the moderators. GW does not own the rights to fantasy football .... but there is nothing stopping them from trying to make a case that bb is a clear indication of Blood Bowl.

So just avoid that issue altogether. On the new site ... have subforms for the couple other Fantasy Football games out there and then it really is a site for talking about Fantasy Football and the whole GW issue is completely dead.

Talk-BB.com doesn't offer that same safety.

Galak

but someone else already owns talkfantasyfootball .com and .net as well

personally I would have preferred it being talked about more openly, though you do then run the risk of someone going and registering any domain that is suggested

but at least you would have known it was due to someone off here as it is hidden to the public, so I doubt it would have happened

I think TalkFantasyFootball is fine means we can talk about other FF games as well.

Ahh but then the inner Cabal would have had to open their doors then.. ;-P

Regardless of the whys and wherefores there's been an impressive display of action getting everything in place after the announcement of imminent closure.

Kudos to all those doing their thing to set up alternatives.
