24+2 Patches & the Future

A statement from Nate/Gaixo re: the future of the 24/+2 patch scheme.

Who do I poke for my virtual badge? (I can guess why it's not appeared, probably due to my Amazon games. It's 2. However I achieved the 24 before the 3 game minimum was introduced and those who did that were told we can keep our 24 status . Is the virtual badge automatically applied?)

You can poke me, lunchmoney. I will have a look.

The rules implemented are:

- To earn a 24 patch, a member needs to have played 3 games with each of the ‘original 24 teams’. So that’s the GW 23 plus Slann.

- To earn the additional Brets and DoK badges, it’s 3 games in each case. These can only be earned after the 24.

- Before 1 Jan. 2019, 3 games of any variant except Online counted.

- After 1 Jan. 2019, Deathbowl games counted double, and all of the Sevens variants (Sevens, Streetbowl, Death 7s, Dungeon 7s... think that’s it) as 0.5 games. Online still does not count.

- Old World or any other new race doesn’t count at all at this time. In future, I guess we could make an additional icon because we aren’t giving out physical badges any more and this is ‘easy’, but this is yet to be discussed.

Sounds like you deserve a virtual patch as well then. The fault is indeed with amazons. A temporary patch has been added until we get an official ruling.

In related news. There will be a permanent fix for anyone that received the 24-patch before the rule of three games was properly established.
