What, an announcement like "Last month we ran a survey"? Sure that will interest the 900 coaches. ;)

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Personally I saw it on several different forums, the NAF newsletter and twitter. I suspect Mike put in the book of face as well.

So, no, I dont just mean this one thread.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

To be fair the survey could have run past the WC so as to include anyone there that may have missed the many annoucements. But I suspect they* have a reason.

*you know, them.

They thought it better to have the results available at the World Cup.

It's the start of an ongoing conversation anyway, not the end.

Preliminary and obvious conclusions just by glancing through:

- Blood Bowl is even more of a sausage party than I thought.

- English is by far the language of Blood Bowl, or maybe this is skewed by advertising in an english-language forum.

"It's 2+ and I have a reroll. Chill out. I've got this!"

And being published by an English speaking company. In English.

We tried to advertise everywhere, but yes the survey was in English :)

Preliminary evaluation:

538 mentions of FUMBBL (and 4 for FUMMBL and 2 for FUMBLE).

Not bad for a survey that did its best to pretend it didn't exist. ;)

For reasons that have been explained lots. We encouraged people to put Fumbbl!

I took the liberty of correcting all the fummbls, fumbls, funbbls and fumbls prior to release, which will have helped your count a little ;)

This is not a survey with a small reach. Yes, 2800 is not the full community, obviously, but we did all we could to circulate and promote it and to be honest it's not an unreasonable response - certainly it demonstrates a reasonable about of engagement with what we're doing, even if a small proportion of the responses appear to think we and cyanide are one and the same (presumably not helped by one of the BB2 league naming decision coming to light halfway though the survey and immediately prior to cyanide reposting on Fb). We published it on every forum we could find, put it out on Twitter and Facebook, had cyanide repost in both formats, included it in the newsletter and the front of the NAF, put an announcement on fumbbl, and pre-notified all the podcasts that it was coming up with request they plug it.

Please don't underestimate the effort that went in to compiling, publicising and (now) analysing the survey. It's easily the biggest engagement with blood bowl coaches I've ever encountered and as Mike says, it's the beginning of the journey, not the end. Lessons learned will absolutely be absorbed into the report as action points, so if you have constructive feedback that we can use going forward, please throw that at us too!
