And in the meantime, here's the pre-2013 data. Just the 92,000 matches...

Will do a combined file later.

All the numbers, minus NAF names, countries and tournament names to make it all character-friendly!

From what date are all the games LRB5?

Albion Coast 2006 (26/27-08-06) was the first LRB5 tournament. I think there might be a couple of LRB4 events after but not many.

Yeah, I'd need to know exactly which ones were LRB5 games. Would be great if this were added as a ruleset column to the data.

You'd need to go through individual tournaments (threads, tournament entries on the NAF site and/or rule packs) for that info as its not recorded on the NAF site for record purposes.

Was LRB5 the golden age of Khemri? You can plot from individual results where their usage dropped like a stone after the nerf (2008 rules review?) but that's not really what you're looking for...

It is certainly important to know which ruleset is being used for the data to be useful.
Possibly all data after 2014 is very suspect, as tier-based rewards have become increasingly prolific.

Is it safe enough to suggest that the 2012/13 dataset is entirely LRB5?

I dont think so.
The first tourny I ran was in 2009 and I was using CRP/LRB6.

Other way around - I was asking if the entirety of that dataset was LRB5 rather than whether that dataset was the entirety of the LRB5 stuff. I'd rather have an untainted but smaller sample.

I think you'd be safe to say that from 2010 onwards is LRB5/CRP. Maybe ask Lycos and/or pipey when the NAF tournament rules were changed to only allow events to use the current rule set.
