So, does anyone have some starting Elfball 180pt Rosters? I haven't had enough games yet to really figure out what works best so I was wondering if anyone else has?

I like to have 9 players and 45 to spend on sideline.

For my Divine Wind I usually take:

2x Defender
2x Striker
2x Hunter
3x Midfielder

3x cheerleader
2x potion
2x keg

This has worked well for me so far. If I used a team with a monster I would almost definitely take a bribed ref, but since I don't I haven't bothered.

We've only played one-test games so far, and no league action, so hard to judge. Agree with antipixi's points though.

League started soon in Swindon - I'm going to be using Desert Dogs, and we'll get some experience with 180 point teams. Looking forward to it!

How many goals/test are you playing in league and are you using the cards at all?

It's going to be kind of odd because without abilities, you can pretty much field a full team of rookies for 180 points!
Not that you'd want to :D

3 potions, 4 cheerleaders, a bribed ref and 2 kegs come to 50 points....hmmm......

Let me know how it goes

We're going 'best of 3 tests'. This should give us a few draws, but hopefully make very close games a bit shorter.

Cards to be used on each test, and the experimental extra time rules to be used on only the 3rd test.

I'm taking Valkyries, so my 180 point roster at the moment is looking like:

4 x Hunters
2 x Strikers
1 x Thrower
1 x Ice Troll
2 x Midfielders

1 Bribed Referee
2 Cheerleaders
1 Keg
2 Potions

If I find I'm running out of players for the 2nd & 3rd Tests, I may need to drop cheerleaders or the bribe for more potions & kegs!

Cheers, Spiky

4 Cheerleaders gives you 2 back if you get one or both of the Cheerleader refresh cards... Hmmmm

So if you win two test before your opponent the third test is not played.

Also will there be any sort of consolation experience points or will you only get them if you score. In other words what rules are you using for experience points?

Standard experience - I don't expect teams to not win any tests at all...
