Crazy prices.........

Post by longfang »

Check this out.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 1781068334

At the time of posting this little lump of lead is going at £67. Now between DW and I we have quite an extensive collection of BB figs but aren't prices like this a sign of some extremely obsessive behavior. Lets put it into context.......a rare 1st ed fig or a really good weekend on the piss! I'll choose the good time, who's with me?

I'll get one of those someday, but it sure as hell won't be through ebay!
If people are prepared to pay those kind of prices then good luck to them.
Scary! :o

I'm there. £70 for a mini <shakes head in disbelief> Definitely up for a long weekend on the sauce instead.

But what frivolities would people actually be willing to pay through the nose for. If I had the time and the space I'd probably spend three (or four) figures on a pet parrot!

Makes me wish I had one. He would up for sale so quick it would make your head spin. I could think of lots of things to do for that much. Like half a warmaster army. Or maybe buy something for the girlfriend.

Snotsngrots: I'd look carefully at that auction if I were you. 'derwasp' has no feedback and 5 bid retractions. Take a look at that treeman auction that BigD's on. I believe 'derwasp' drove it up to £44 and then retracted his bid. Just a heads up. Safer to place a marker and snipe late.
I'd be tempted to shop him to ebay as a suspected shill bidder.

Guys,

Why do you think I like the idea of a 'who to keep an eye on' list. Although as I've met 'derwasp' I'm lucky he retracted his bid on ebay on the treeman. Don't reckon I'm going to get it cheap but I'm hoping.

And I gotta agree. No Feedback makes you wonder alright. I've lost a couple of items to him but also he's brought some of my figures so far through Kat. Best part is now we don't need to put them up on Ebay. Just going direct but from what I can make out he's after quite a bit of stuff. I'm just hoping we can ditch some pretty quickly! Suit me nicely if he keeps on paying these rates
