Traveller, when you use static grass on your bases try to drybrush it with a light brown color. It will rid you of that shiny look and it will make the red blades og grass less visible. IMO it gives a much more realistic look. Also when I base my minis I don't cover the whole base in grass but leaves som empty places, which gives the impression of battlefield - Afterall that's what a Blood Bowl pitch really is...

thanks for the advice. I will give it a try I use the color Bleach bone before.
On the bases of my very first 3.ed Big guys i put different sands and rock on. But i though it would look better, if all the minis get the same bases. But i have to consider this again...
On the bases of "new" 2.ed big guys ( maybe you saw it) i put some "chalk" lines on it. Maybe i will use the bigger bases of the rest for some more funny stuff ( rats, bones, bdies... ) as i did with the Dwarf deathroller.
